The world through Aurelia's eyes is one reflected in funhouse mirrors. The beautiful and the painful (and to her the two are frequently the same - she has odd and sometimes dark ideas of beauty) are emphasized, shining gems against the diminished grey backdrop that is the uninteresting rest of her surroundings. The perspective is further warped by her empathy - It's her primary means of perception, and emotional awareness and ideas far surpass even the visual in her mind.

Her husband and daughter fill her world always, dwarfing everything else in comparison. She loves Bartleby unconditionally, and her Marilyna perhaps even more. The loss of her daughter is a jagged hole in her psyche, a constant source of pain and despair that only Bartleby's presence and support keep her ahead of.

• Arlie - Love, concern. He knows this world, perhaps more than any of the others, though sometimes he does not hear it. He cares for the band, even as he has brought danger to them, and he has grown. His threat to Bartleby, to Avery is of concern, but also of the past. I trust his intent, if not always his judgement.
• Avery - Love, protectiveness, concern and faint irritation. His body and soul scream with pain I cannot mend, pain I am in part responsible for. If the means to heal him can be found, I will do what is in my power to obtain them. I owe him this. He longs to lead, but his choices have been suspect, and his response to their consequences. Curious that a geas which would have been born gladly chafes when forced.
• Jack - Love, curiosity, gratitude, slight nervousness, concern. His soul was pure, untarnished despite the dark sword's taint. Now it bears the weight of his sins, and it will be interesting to see how he comes to terms with this. He worries for me, and I wish that he would not, but am glad. He cares for me, and I hope that he will not stop. He holds faith in me, and I will try to preserve it. His power in the face of dark things reassures, awes, and frightens. Sometimes I fear for him.
• Gaja - She is gone.
• Sue - Love, curiosity, respect. I hear his heart now, but still I do not understand him well. His power is alien and cold, but beautiful.
• Arsul - Love, respect, troubled trust. He is sees more than any, piercing time's veil, and is potent, skilled in all fields. His guidance reassured, free of shadow and judgement. His new restraint troubles me, confuses me. Is it new? Am I only now puissant enough to feel it? I trust his desire for my well-being.
• Magnum - Love. He is a strong presence.
• Tomerane - Curiosity. Her heart is quiet cold, but all the more beautiful for that when it sings.
• Leia - Regret. Her aspirations were noble. I am sorry that I could not help her, that her story ended unfinished, and that her leaving has harmed Avery so.
• Leonas - Peace. The darkness in him fascinated, and his path troubled. But his goal was beautiful, and I am glad to have been part of its resolution.
• Dionysus - Love, respect. His music is divine, his state a sorrowful portrait. I hope the the world's song is restored to him. I will miss him when he departs.
• Aunts - Love, respect. My first family. They taught me of life and beauty. They desire my happiness, I, theirs, and also their safety.
• Mother - love, pride, concern. Her state was tragic, her healing beyond beautiful. Her presence is pleasure, but she hides fear and pain whose answers I do not know. I pray that she is safe now, and happy with my Marilyna.
• Hornet - Hatred, confusion. He is responsible for my mother's pain, and my father's. He is part of my creation, part of my answer. I faced him, and he did not face me, felt nothing. Killing him was as killing a man of straw. I ended him to find no resolution
• Grimdancer - He is a potent tool, and mine. A reminder of my father and myself, whatever aspect I wear.
• Civitello - Neutrality. He is dangerous.
• Empress Marilyna - Respect, gratitude, love. She taught me of forgiveness, gave me place and meaning when I felt all lost.
