Aurelia looks in the mirror at the Ender's Taint.

Dionysus Revenge is foremost of your sins, an ugly blot. Selfishness has a slight aura around your soul, & apostasy leaves an ugly mark. Then minor sins.

• Aurelia touches her reflection, then turns away from it. She kneels at the foot of the room's bed to pray/appeal before sleeping.

Aurelia "Father of Nightmare, I have sacrifice to you. Please... speak to me and tell me if it is worth the protection of Avery."

Aurelia then goes to sleep.

Dionysus You see yourself as an unholy Ender Servitor, sitting in your room, "Well well well."

• Aurelia takes a step back, staring with wide eyes.

Dionysus "Oh, get over... yourself." He smiles. "You offered a sacrifice."

• Aurelia swallows and tries to make herself stand her ground. "Enders."

Dionysus "Those slaves?"

Aurelia "They are the Hornet's enforcers. As m-my father was."

Aurelia "They are potent."

Dionysus "Mere enforcers for the protection of a faerie prince? You need to make this more worth my while."

• Aurelia looks at the floor and asks quietly, "How?"

Dionysus "My... fellow erstwhile diety has found a loophole in your Law that will allow an... unscrupulous deity a place in your pantheon under the right circumstances. I wish for you to enact those circumstances on my behalf."

• Aurelia looks up at the Servitor.

Dionysus He touches you between the legs, & you feel your body change, "Carry my child."

• Aurelia flinches at the touch, then stares, wide-eyed at that hand.

Dionysus He leans close & hisses, like a snake, "Well?"

• Aurelia opens her mouth, closes it, biting her lip and looking down at herself, then asks, "When it is born..?"

Dionysus "Nine months is usual for your variety, I believe."

Dionysus "Well, you know what I mean."

• Aurelia shakes her head. "When it is born... what then?"

Dionysus He looks sympathetic, "Then it will grow up to be an unseelie prince or princess."

• Aurelia stares at the ground again, hesitant to say yes but unable to say no.

Dionysus He just waits.

• Aurelia whispers, "Yes."

Dionysus He proceeds to take you, & it's the most horrifying experience of your life. You awaken a woman.
