Thought Themes

• Music - Only thing that makes music better is combining it with other great stuff. Like, chocolate for example.
• Percussion - Favorites are taiko and singing bowls. Is disappointed that she can rarely use them. Likes showing off on conventional drums. (Because she can!) +
• Being in a band - The COOLEST thing ever.
• Contessa - Could be useful in a jam, but not really her thing. She's a musician, not really nobility.
• Geas of the Dwarf's Geode - Hopes it doesn't get her in trouble. Her mom always taught her that fighting is wrong and should be a last resort.

1. Did we discuss where her family was from & where she grew up?

We did, but I forgot what it was. I think we had decided she had a fairly normal background.

All right, I think we decided she was from southern Taggarus, from Vimala (ie, Indian Elephant?) [or was she from Maraddon or northern Taggarus--African Elephant?] & her family was middle class. She was sent to a music school in Maraddon at an early age & excelled (at music). She left not too long ago (graduated) & joined a band that she had heard of because it had someone who had graduated a long time ago from her school in it (Arsul). At least, that explanation sounds familiar. Do you mind if I make up a few of your old school chums?

Sounds good to me. She would be from Vimala, I think. And um, her family sent her away to school because although they loved her, if they had to listen to her bash one more thing they'd go crazy. Any other parent would do the same.

2. Has she ever had a beau?

She's had some boyfriends in the past (nothing long-term or anything), but no one right now.

3. Did we discuss where she learned music?

Er, I think we said something about her being sent away from home to learn? And that she was taught by someone...but I forget who. (I am just so helpful here...)

4. Does she have any strong thoughts on the current state of music or politics?

Um, generally she'll get upset if she sees how the current state of anything is hurting others, but if it's out of sight it's out of mind for the most part. And the opposite, if she seems how something good is making people happy, she will be very very excited for them. (I hope that makes sense.)

5. Is she at all educated outside of music?

She's got a basic education, but she wasn't really interested in that stuff. So she has a solid background in the basics, I guess, but not really anything else advanced.

6. How old is she?

Is 24 a good age? Should she be younger/older? I want her to be as "new" as possible to the whole band thing, but not so new that she just joined. (Unless we're supposed to be just joined, but I was given the impression that we had formed already. Am I wrong?)

7. Does she worship any particular deities? With a passion for music like she has, worship of the music goddess might make sense. If she were raised in the tribes, though, the fauna god might also make sense. I seem to recall we did discuss her parents, but I can't remember now what we said. If you can find that log/thread, please post it here.

I don't think any religion held her attention long enough.

8. You say below music is only better with other great stuff like chocolate. What else constitutes "great stuff"? Just a few more examples so I might have a few more random hooks.

I don't know.... things that make people happy. Puppies, love, strawberries, bunnies in bee costumes, those tiny umbrellas that come with some drinks, kettle corn, kittens....stuff like that!

9. Feel free to expand what instruments she can play.

10. Due to the dangerous state of the roads in the world, the band likely uses her as a robbery deterrent (just sticking a damned pachydermion in plain sight usually deters bandits & thieves, ya know?). Does she mind?

She would find it pretty funny. Wouldn't mind at all.
