Manny was hatched from an egg in Kren'poltar shortly before Sue became infused with the power of the Father of the Void. Manny is the only one who actually saw what the Father of the Void did that unleashed matter-nulling void over half the city. It may have been what made Manny grow to full adult size instantly, or it might not.

Manny's interaction with the Void Father affected him greatly, creating a link between him & Sue that is hard to define. Manny is a powerful void mantis, & a dangerous foe to those who would cross him. He is completely in awe of the Void Father.
