Ansulym

Home of major empires. A continent of twisted infernal forests wastelands, poisonous lakes, and fell cities.
  • Annec Hoth: a country in the southwestern Wastelands. Known for disasters such as major cyclones, earthquakes, avalanches, floods, and more.
  • Arunel: east of the Phobian Wood, west of the Drunholle. This forest country is devoted to the Nightstalker and houses the Hunter's Woodland.
  • Attel Sea: a sea in the southeast, just south of Lyfane, Vendale, and Mal'sk. The waters are toxic.
  • Baradin: an empire northwest of Srisia. A country devoted to the Truth, or their version of it.
  • Bel-torren: a country on the east coast that is dominated by wastelands.
  • Bluedheim: an island country north of Bel-torren. It is a country of violent raiders and a powerful navy.
  • Broken Sea: sea at the southern end of the Drunholle with many small, rocky, mostly lifeless islands.
  • Crow's Reach: a strange mountainous forest region where lives the Gentleman.
  • Deseria: the empire of the Serpentmother, home to poblgorons and other infernal nations. It started as a city-state and expanded.
  • The Desolation: a large bay south of Bel-torren and the Scoured Realm, west of Nakatan. Its waters are the most salinated in the world.
  • The Drunholle: a huge channel down the center of the continent that is a murky, foul river filled with phantasms.
  • Dwonnum: a part of the Nelgarten Forests, a forested country once home to a nation of long-dead elves. Now a country where living and undead dwell side by side. Now sometimes called the Dwonnic Woodland.
  • Endruin: southern empire east of Deseria. Devoted to the Bloodmother. It is a country of corporations and businesses, a country of slavery and poverty.
  • Fennvell: a country in the southeastern Wastelands. Where the contagion's center of power is.
  • Forest of Bleeding Trees: part of the Nelgarten Forests; the trees drip with blood. Home to man-eating trees, jubokko, zaqqum, and other infernal trees.
  • Frothen Sea: a very cold sea north of Skree and south of Bluedheim. Home to many icebergs.
  • Furich Amol: a massive empire in central Ansulym, ruled by the Tyrant and devoted to the Chainmaker. It is the heart of the worldwide slave trade. Ruling class is mostly vinculgen.
  • Gemmis: a region of the Nelgarten Forests southeast of Dwonnum. A wooded country of illusions. Sometimes called the Forest of Phantom Trees.
  • Gest: an island country northeast of Srisia. An unpredictable region where tantum dwell.
  • Ghaestr: an undead swamp southwest of Srisia.
  • Grey Sea: the sea around Kael'Ras, full of the undead and msawhat.
  • Inall: in the northwestern part of the Nelgarten Forests. A cold, wooded country where inimica dwell. Sometimes called the Gibberwood or the Forest of the Old Gods.
  • Jade Sea: the sea south of Mwyr Aeld, named for its beautiful green hue.
  • Jhuin: country in the northwestern part of the Nelgarten Forests. A country devoted to pleasure, especially buying and selling it. Often called the Garden of Flesh.
  • Jotuk: a violent island country in the northwest, west of Bluedheim. A rival country to Bluedheim and home to excruciators.
  • Kael'Ras: the undead empire in the southeast where they serve the White Crown.
  • Kulgoram: a small western country in the Wastelands where nomads fight for the smallest resources.
  • Kurgrist: a south-central country in the southern Wastelands where cannibals thrive.
  • Lamb Wood: a northern region of the Nelgarten Forests where the trees make bleating sounds (hence the name), and suicide cults serve the Lord of Hooks and the Mother of Scars. Many suicides hang from the trees.
  • Lann Kurat: a southwestern Wastelands country. Despite their barren territory, they are a very rich country.
  • Lyfane: a small country in the southeastern poison Wastelands. Home to major industrial centers.
  • Mal'sk: ancestral home to Hollow Jack and still his country. In the southeastern Wastelands, it is home to poisonous forests and fell mountains and vicious, powerful men.
  • Mwyr Aeld: the southernmost part of the Nelgarten Forests where the doppelgangers live. This kingdom is a major world player. The Kingdom of Thorns, where Thorn Wood lies.
  • Mysaral: a part of the Region of Empires that is not home to an empire. A void-forest and -cavern region.
  • Nakatan: part of the western Wastelands, a country of scavengers. Post-apocalyptic region of petty tyrants and warlords.
  • Nelgarten Forests: massive region in central Ansulym, home to a forest that spreads north to south and includes Jhuin (Garden of Flesh), Inall (Forest of the Old Gods), Forest of the Kala, Lamb Wood, Valdyrskogr, the Salg, Forest of Bleeding Trees, Shrike Wood, Dwonnum (Dwonnic Woodland), Arunel (Hunter's Woodland), Gemmis (Forest of Phantom Trees), and Mwyr Aeld (Thorn Wood).
  • Forest of the Kala: the northernmost part of the Nelgarten Forests. An icy, boreal forest that saps the emotions out of any who enter it. Many people who lost their will have frozen and died there, and their preserved remains decorate the forest.
  • Paal Kheth: part of the southern Wastelands, a country known for their hatred of the Divine.
  • Realm of Empires: the northeastern region of Ansulym that is home to many massive empires: Srisia, Furich Amol, Malaer, Baradin, Deseria, and Endruin. Also in this area are Mysaral, Ghaestr, Gest, Crow's Reach, and Wyleth.
  • Red Coast: a rocky region of the western Wastelands known for its red rocks and sands. Some nomads and scavengers dwell here, but there is no country or law.
  • Ruckrag: an island country in the southeastern region of the Broken Sea. A trollish country.
  • The Salg: a region of the Nelgarten Forests where the trees are a colonial organism that sucks the souls out of any who enter.
  • Scoured Realm: the driest, most barren, most inhospitable region of the Wastelands. In the west. Where famine and drought are permanent.
  • Sea of the Fallen: a sea north of the Nelgarten Forests where fallen angels are said ot have landed after they fell.
  • Sea of Malice: sea between Srisia and Wyleth/Gest. A very dangerous sea.
  • Shrike Wood: a central region of the Nelgarten Forestrs where shrikes and menywod dwell.
  • Skree: the spire-mountains where harpies dwell. Western Wastelands.
  • Srisia: an empire in the eastern part of Ansulym. Home to the God of Spiders, who promises freedom to his followers. A land of opportunity and promise, where anyone can rise up the ranks to be someone... if they can get away with it.
  • Tyreeth: a country in south-central Wastelands. Ruled by a sorceress-queen. Kingdom of all female infernal Divines.
  • Valdyrskogr: the nightmarish region of the Nelgarten Forests where vargr dwell.
  • Vendale: the country of the venomirs. In the poison Wastelands in the southeast. Home to a toxic lake and poisonous forests.
  • Vishal: south-central Wastelands country ruled by vampires.
  • The Wastelands: three regions across western and southern Ansulym. In the west are the barren wastes with the regions Bel-torren, Skree, the Scoured Realm, the Red Coast, Nakatan, Lann Rath, Kulogram, and Annec Hoth. Jotuk and Bluedheim are just north of it. In the south-central Wastelands are the rocky wastes where Tyreeth, Kurgrist, Vishal, Paal Kheth, and the Broken Sea (and thus Ruckrag) are. And in the southeast are the poison Wastelands where Vendale, Fennvell, Lyfane, and Mal'sk are.
  • Wyleth: a large island counry northeast of Srisia, home to the Wymarian Dynasty.
  • Yellow Sea: a sea off the coast of southeast Srisia, named for its color, which is due to the high sulfur content.


Aurul Ocean

The ocean east of Jesenranu and west of Ansulym. Named for the golden hue it takes as the dawnlight hits it.


Barathrum

The sixth level below the ground, between the Voidbarrens and the Lake of Fire.

  • Ettagga: small island amidst the ocean of molten rock where a hellgate is located.
  • Great Magma Ocean: most of this layer is a massive ocean of molten magma.
  • Izzellan: lowest gnomish outpost, where esoteric energies are just strong enough to preserve them amongst the flames.
  • Kusock: a mix of nations who for various reasons can survive the heat and acid. Ruled by a cruel tyrant and slaver.
  • Nathaus: menacers dwell here.
  • Nithri: deepest country of chthonians, a small military dictatorship.
  • Thoros-Thalak: once a dwarven fortress, it was abandoned to monsters and the undead Ages ago.
  • Undallan: here be dragons, dwelling around a massive, jagged canyon on an burning island of rock, magma, and crystals. The canyon is filled with rending energy.


Borean Ocean

The ocean around Cassaru, north of Jesenranu and Ansulym. Named for the North Wind, who draws his strength from its cold waters.


Cassaru

The continent around the North Pole, which is the World Tree. Surrounded by solid ice and the Borean Ocean, it is mostly tundra and boreal forests, with a massive mountain range in the center that protects a temperate forest.
  • Algamaen: city-state of the cephalans, a place where science and experimentation are valued highest. A city of glass.
  • Bah-Mhurnam: country where Father Midwinter dwells.
  • Cassaran Tundra: massive tundra and boreal forests, home to various arctic animal folk.
  • Chronur: city-state of the watchers, hidden just outside of time with the rest of the world. A city made of clockwork.
  • Dalkand: city-state of the lemniscates, shaped like the namesake of its nation. A city of mathematicians and intricate designs.
  • Darneyn: city-state of the thaumari, north of Ranu. A city where symbols are etched into everything, a city of universities and philosophers.
  • Genesis: the temperate forest at the north pole, home to munduad dryades and other nations that serve the World Tree.
  • Horns of the World: high, jagged mountains that surround the forests of Genesis, home to many dragons.
  • Kevliish: city-state of tern folk, a city of spires and cliffs and shorelines and ice.
  • Madziar: the first city in the world, the city-state home of the shemir, called also the Creator's City.
  • Nykosa: city-state of the emet shemir, a city of the Truth. A city of mirrors.
  • Ol'ulus: a city-state within the polar ice, home to char folk and other arctic aquafauna folk.
  • Outer Ice: the polar ice that rings Cassaru.
  • Rosakatan: place of moose folk, elk folk, and reindeer folk, a massive gathering place for nomadic nations more than a city.
  • Tlos: city-state of mammoth folk, a powerful city-state on the continent, built from bone, hide, fur, and stone.
  • World Tree: the tree that connects Shem to other realms.
  • Zurash: city-state of the aldar, a city of balances and scales. A city of triangular buildings, parks, and architecture.


Dabusen

The large continent south of Wymmera, east of Taggarus, southeast of Mahad. Bounded by the Great Southern Ocean to the south, the Eastern Sea and Palhuric Ocean to the east, the Red Ocean to the north, and the Aurul Ocean to the northwest. Inspired by Asia.

  • Abanta: a mountain country ruled by a brutal feudal regime backed by a religion that preaches peace while practicing slavery and serfdom. Inspired by pre-revolutionary Tibet.
  • Agikaan: an empire of mountains and tropical rainforests, home to the worship of the One True God or Eight-Pointed God, a being that demands purity through breeding. Essentially, a country devoted to a eugenic philosophy. Inspired by Asian fascism (Japan in the 30s/40s, Cambodia under Pol Pot, South Korea in general, Indonesia under Suharto, etc.).
  • Ang Aming Lupain: the massive island conglomeration in northeastern Dabusen that connects to the southern Island Bridge. Includes Vada'ar, Muroa, Gamayran, Chaleb, and Wetanu. Mostly tropical, prone to cyclones, and varied in biomes but largely rainforest.
  • Anjuram: a country dominated by mountains and tropical jungles and warring dynasties. Inspired by pre-colonial Myanmar/Burma. Home to many nations and national conflicts.
  • Anmalda: a nomadic empire in the mountains and steppes of western Dabusen. Inspired by Scythia.
  • Artere: a country of forests, steppes, and high mountains, landlocked in southwestern Dabusen. Rich in culture from a long history of domination by other countries, it has recently thrown off its oppressors and formed a small and fragile workers' states. Inspired by Armenia.
  • Baiskazan: just east of Artere, this country has similar landscape and an interrelated history. It is an ancient empire that once covered much of southwestern Dabusen, and now it is a shell of its former self. Inspired by Azerbaijan and the Sasanian Empire.
  • Bearheart Island: a remote, cold island in the Eastern Sea, home to hunters and ice forests and bears. Inspired by the Ainu.
  • Chaleb: an island dominated by tropical deciduous forests and low mountains. Inspired by Timor. Independent of Gamayaran, but sometimes a part of it.
  • Dakhangsky: The southern-most reaches of Dabusen, a cold region nearest the poles.
  • Dalaras: a region in western Dabusen that has been subject to many ancient empires, but now is a small kingdom known for its coinage and odd inventions. Inspired loosely by Lydia.
  • Degala:
  • Denao: a country of tropical jungles and temperate forests, mountains and farmlands, swamps and small villages. Previously brutally dominated by Agikaan, Ladrya, Srisia, and Couronne Epee at different times, it is now an independent workers' republic. Inspired by Viet Nam.
  • Doraskny:
  • Eastern Sea: a large sea east of Dabusen in which Ang Amign Lupain and Tenzanai lie.
  • Etlohara: at times part of the Vimalan Empire, but now an independent sultanate. Home to large plateaus, a major river delta, and evergreen hills, it is a lush country. Inspired by Bangladesh.
  • Ferin Sea: Caspian Sea.
  • Fornaen: an arid, rocky country with verdant regions in its eastern areas, home to an ancient kingdom inspired by the Old Kingdom of the Hittites.
  • Gamayaran: a massive cluster/archipelago country in the northeastern regions of Dabusen, merging with the Island Bridge. It is a powerful country that controls many waterways, rain forests, and mountain ranges. It is diverse and beautiful. Inspired by Indonesia.

  • Great Salt Sea: a large sea off the western coast of Dabusen that has a higher salinity than most seas.

  • Hurik: a country mostly composed of mountains. Inspired by the Samanid Empire and ancient Samarkand (where Tajikistan is now).
  • Iddii: a powerful nation in a larger mountainous country. Inspired by ancient Alania/Ossetia.
  • Jahananar: Maldives.
  • Javada: a major tropical island hub north of the Vimalan Subcontinent. Inspired by ancient Sri Lanka at the cusp of worldwide trade.

  • Jenil: inspired by ancient Persia/Iran, a powerful and richly historic empire in western Dabusen that has deep ties to Mahad and control of the sea routes and roads west and east.
  • Jingsheong: the eastern region of Dabusen.
  • Kesarah: a varied landscape surrounded by mountains and home to a complex history and culture. Inspired by early Islamic Pakistan.
  • Kundek: a once-great empire in the mountains of western Dabusen. Inspired by Uzbekistan/Transoxiana and the Timur Empire.
  • Ladryan Steppes: a very powerful country of nomads on a vast steppe and desert, once conquerors of half the world. Inspired by Mongolia.

  • Tunvoh: tropical country inspired by the Malacca Sultanate period of Malaysia.

  • Vimala: ancient India in all its complex glory.
  • Vimalan Subcontinent: the massive north-central region of Dabusen that is dominated by Vimala but includes several other related countries.
  • Wetanu: large island country at the base of the southern Island Bridge that connects to Gamayaran, based on Papua New Guinea.
  • Xodan: kingdom of a million elephants, inspired by Lan Xang (now Laos) in northeastern Dabusen.
  • Yme: fertile river valley inspired by ancient Mesopotamia.


Great Southern Ocean

The massive, icy ocean around the South Pole. The Endless Ice is part of this ocean after the land ends in Palhur.


Green Moon

The medium-sized moon. She has an atmosphere and weather, gravity, and sustains life as Shem does.


Grey Moon

The largest of the three moons. She has a very faint atmosphere, low gravity, and no water or breathable air. Life on the Grey Moon thrives not on oxygen and carbon but on other elements and energies.


The Grottos

Pockets, hidden realms full of life and wonder beneath the ground, the second level of the Subterranean Realm, between the Lithosphere and the Hollow.


Gyrah

The floating continent that orbits Cassaru.

  • Aeridan: country of falcon folk and other avians, covered in high mountains on a massive floating island.
  • Blake: a small floating island in the eastern areas of Lonimim, surrounded by cloud mountains, a settlement of landdwellers who fled the ground world.
  • Dorim: north of Aeridan on Falconreach, a country of sylphs.
  • Ezara: part of the Outer Islands, northernmost of them, a country of salii and other speculari.
  • Falconreach: large island in the center of Gyrah where Aeridan, Fengara, and Dorim are. Very mountainous.
  • Fengara: mountainous southern part of Falconreach where dragons dwell.
  • The Freehold: a country made up of slaves escaped from Urayme, in constant war with the powerful empire, just north of it.
  • Goallam: small city amongst the clouds of Lonimim, shifts positions amidst those same clouds. Where cormorans live.
  • Hesos: island that is part of the Psyaran Stronghold, a massive prison colony.
  • Imperial Island: the island that holds Urayme and the Freehold.
  • Inverray: small country that was once part of Jesenranu, raised into the sky on Second Shem, ruled by Gerrick MacBoon.
  • Lesedi: legendary sky island outside of Lonimim, in the southern part of Gyrah. This is where crystal folk dwell and the Lesedian Mirror, which reflects the esoteric energies of the world and keeps them flowing, is. The Island of Light. Where the Bright energy comes from, where lanternbearers are.
  • Lonimim: the clouds around the main part of Gyrah, created by the waters flowing off the sky islands and instantly becoming vapor.
  • Myrian: the central Outer Island, home to speculari nations.
  • Oazar: a small island in the Psyaran Stronghold where beings who have psionic powers but are not psionists dwell.
  • Outer Islands: far eastern islands of Gyrah, where Myrian, Vercora, Yvinis, Ezara, and Blake are.
  • Phyros: island off the east coast of Falconreach, a major trading port.
  • Psyara: the country of psionists, a strange hive-mind country that dominates western Gyrah.
  • Psyaran Stronghold: massive set of islands shaped and controlled by psionists, where Psyara Hesos, and Oazar are.
  • Skyholt: a sky pirate stronghold just off of the Imperial Island.
  • Urayme: the Uraymean Empire, a massive slaving empire run by speculari.
  • Vercora: the westernmost sky island of the Outer Isles, a major feudal state ruled by the Storm Prince.
  • Yvinis: the easternmost Outer Island, home to the most powerful airforce in the world.


The Hollow

A vast hollow space held up by huge pillars underground, the third part of the Subterranean Realm. Between the Grottos and the Hypogaeum.


The Hypogaeum

A rocky, watery warren pocked by lava flows, underground lakes, steam chambers, cave-ins, and tunnel systems. The fourth part of the Subterranean realm, between the Hollow and the Low Mines.


Indigo Sea

The sea nestled between the three colliding landmasses that make up Jesenranu. North of the Jesenya region, west of the Ranu region, and east of the Lyrilla region. Named for its blue-purple hue, which is due to its depth and the dream energy that suffuses it.


Inner Core

The very center of the world. Tenth layer of the Subterranean Realm.


Island Bridge

A massive string of islands that runs from Jesenranu to Mahad to Taggarus to Dabusen to the southern polar ice (and thus Palhur, eventually).

Abaddonic Cluster

Region of volcanoes east of Taggarus and west of Dabusen.

  • Abaddon: large islands amidst the Island Bridge composed of huge lava lakes and large volcanoes. Home to morags and hexars.
  • Chthroth: island where roach folk dwell.
  • Idolgu: outpost on the western end of this region where the Homeguard seek to keep an eye on the morags.
  • Othanim: outpost on the eastern end of this region where a small group of shemir keep watch on the morags.
  • Prophetess's Tomb: massive, shattered mausoleum where the prophetesses of Abaddon are interred.
  • Uyvalda: six islands that make up a city that is run by the cults who follow the prophetesses of Abaddon.

Palhur

A massive continent west of Taggarus, south of Starfall, east of Dabusen. It is inspired by North, Central, and South America.
  • Askiy: large glacial plains country in southern Palhur north of the Frostreach Mountains, home to the Ayisiniwak nation (Cree).
  • Asulja: easternmost country of Teotlalli, home to undead conquistadors and settlers from Jesenranu.
  • Ataani: the region where the Endless Ice and Frostreach are, reaching to the north pole.
  • Ataweenuq: sasquatch country.
  • Awahsin: one of the many large western plains countries, home to the powerful Otapi'sin (Blackfoot) nation.
  • Awilu: ancient mountain country in far-eastern Palhur, home to the golden empire of the Aylluyay (Quechua/Inqa).
  • Bandaragi: home to Benhoran settlers in Teotlalli.
  • Bianuini: the northeastern country amidst the lightning-plains (Venezuela), near the delta of a great river, along a massive bay, the city-state where the original Kabyn nation (Arawak) dwells, though they have spread out through eastern Palhur and the Reever Sea as well.
  • Bokkal: a volcanic region (Costa Rica) of the central isthmus of Palhur, home to the Di'Etom people (Bribri).
  • B'ukkang: a smaller country just east of Bokka (Panama), home to the Etsewagat people (Boruca/Talamanca). They control a major canal system.
  • Chopetap: in the western part of the isthmus, among the mountains (Oaxaca), one of many small countries there, this one home to the Rusiguunda' (Zapotec) people.
  • Dalaani: a country in the central deserts (southwest America) of Palhur, home to the Dalaa people (Apache), who also live outside its borders throughout central and western Palhur.
  • Digadohi: the western regions of Palhur, home to the asduidah.
  • Dissikian: a country in the central chaparral and drylands (Texas) of Palhur, west of Dalaani, home to the Wists'i (Caddo) people.
  • Dunmarsh: the massive wetlands in the northwestern parts of Palhur (Gulf Coast).
  • El Dessra: an Ansulymic settler city where demons have taken over in Panpaallpa.
  • The Endless Ice: the massive glacial and tundra lands south of Frostreach that reaches to the south pole. The Inuqsaragtaq (Inuit, Aleuts, etc.) live here.
  • Eymollara: northern empire in Panpaallpa home to many nations.
  • Frostreach: the mountains that separate southern Palhur from the Endless Ice.
  • Fambara: a warm, volcanic country in the isthmus, home to tropical bird avians.
  • Gadohi: one of the largest countries, in northeastern Palhur, a massive forested country (southeastern America) near to the Old Mountains. Stewarded by the powerful Yvwi nation (Cherokee).
  • Gates of Dogana: sea north of Malhuin, a major seaway and trading route on the seas.
  • Great Rain Forest: largest rain forest in the world.
  • Great Western Sea: off the west coast of Digadohi.
  • Green Sea: small sea in northeastern Palhur, where the waters are greenish in hue.
  • Guadalhone: a major Benhoran settler outpost amidst the rainforest in Panpaallpa.
  • Habrida: a rain forest country erroneously known for having cannibals; in truth, there are merely sloth folk nations who wish to be left alone.
  • Hapikku: small country in the high western mountains (Rockies) of Palhur, home to the Nanewe people (Shoshone).
  • Haviily a small desert country in the western parts of north-central Palhur, home to the Humiich people (Mojave).
  • Hishi: in northwestern Palhur (southeastern America), near and around Dunmarsh, where the Yoshoba people (Choctaw) and their odd sense of humor are most prevalent.
  • Hurricane Sea: north-central sea in Palhur known for its massive cyclones.
  • Iepotara: a large swath of the huge rainforests of eastern Palhur (Amazon) where the Nikya people's many tribes are spread out (Tupi).
  • Itchuupe: in the southern parts of the high mountains of western Palhur (Rockeis), the Hawate (Crow) people keep to themselves.
  • Iurhekua: a tropical, volcanic stretch of central Palhur just west of the isthmus (Michaocan), where the Iamendu (Tarascan) people dwell.
  • Jach'a: large country in the eastern mountains (central Andes) of Palhur, home to the Pataka (Aymara) who live in mountain and rainforest.
  • Janaweq: a united country along the southwestern coast that brings together many nations in a rain forest, south of Xicp'ikaq.
  • Jesumein: a multicultural, cosmopolitan city, the only inhabited part of Malhuin, where the Guardians of Mortality live.
  • Kapawiwa: large stretch of cold forested land where the Mesiwe (Algonquin) people live.
  • Kayi: a jungle country in the isthmus, home to many animal folk.
  • Keyah: in the northwestern deserts of Palhur (southwestern America), the Shih-chai (Navajo/Dineh) have a massive country that is home to many different nations, all of whom live in peace.
  • Lajonna: a legendary city of fire and lightning among the mountains of Panpaallpa.
  • Ma-e: animal folk country ruled by fox folk.
  • Makhoche: in the southern great plains of western Palhur, the Oyate (Lakota) are a powerful nation with a powerful country that is known for their warriors.
  • Malhuin: a massive island region in eastern Palhur, where the ruins of many ancient civilizations lie, said to be where the gods warred Ages ago.
  • Mangadeyaaki: the Bemaadizid (Ojibwe)'s smaller country among the foothills of the high mountains next to the southern great plains of western Palhur.
  • Menateyunk: an island country (Manhattan) in north-central Palhur, where the Awen (Lenape) have one of the largest cities in the world.
  • Mokoia: among the highlands (Brazilian highlands) along the western part of the great rainforest, the Tapichakuera (Guarani) have a powerful country.
  • Musqua: the Nekut (Powhatan) kingdom combines many nations along the north-central coasts (east coast America) of Palhur.
  • Nardino: in the eastern part of central Palhur, a country known for its Danuan conquistadors.
  • Ndalkikan: a small country in north-central (New England) Palhur where the Kiwihla (Abenaki) and their many spirits dwell among deciduous forests and sweeping coastlines.
  • Nitopa: a country in the central plains of western Palhur, where the Winghci (Osage) are a rich country with great oil reserves.
  • Nuuklu'um: a large, powerful country in central Palhur, west of and throughout the isthmus, builders of great temples, brilliant philosophers and scientists, all made by the Cenquixoa and related nations (Maya).
  • Nyaalanwi: in the north-central river valleys of western Palhur (Ohio River), along the mighty river, the Howasi (Shawnee) have a powerful country that controls river trade and trade routes over land.
  • Olowi: along the far west coast of Palhur, a small country where the Nunahati (Miwok) live.
  • The Old Mountains: ancient mountains where many powerful spirits and monsters dwell (Appalaichia).
  • Onewah: in the Dunmarsh, a country where the powerful, defiant Atimawhaneche nation (Seminole) dwells.
  • Oshtupesa: in Dunmarsh, near an ancient and powerful city known as the Place of Many Tongues, the Tcafa nation (Houma) dwells.
  • Panpaallpa: eastern Palhur, dominated by mountains and rain forests, where the ngen and wekufe live.
  • Pehevom'o'e: great plains country of the Sutaio nation (Cheyenne).
  • Place of Many Tongues: a powerful magical city that is a crossroads of the world, a place where once the slave trade flourished and now those who overthrew it rule. (New Orleans/Bulbancha)
  • Qallurg: a rain forest country home to the lemurians.
  • Rainless Sea: a sea north of the Shattered Plains where storms rarely occur.
  • Rauiseen: a country of fur trappers and Galdish settlers who have carved out a forested country of their own.
  • San Selsian: a massive settler city-state (Rio) at the mouth of a major river.
  • Sea of Whales: aptly named cold sea in southwestern Palhur.
  • Shattered Plains: arid, cracked desert of hard-baked mud and adobe villages, ruled by none, for there is not much there but dirt and dry winds.
  • Solithia: a golden mountain city where they worship the Sun.
  • Straits of Fvardi: between Malhuin and mainland Panpaallpa, a strait where many dead ships float.
  • Tanitlec: the country of the zazotlein nations.
  • Teotlalli: central Palhur, dominated by the isthmus, home to the zazotlein.
  • Threnda: a neutral gathering place where many nations come together for the gathering of the bison. A place of peace and equality, supernaturally enforced by the bison spirits.
  • Tlallo: one of the largest countries in Palhur, dominating the central region west of the isthmus, where the Tlaca and related nations rule (Aztec). Their capital city, Nochtili, is one of the largest in the world, built over a series of lakes.
  • Tochchi'na: in the foothills of the Old Mountains, a country where the Okla (Chickasaw) nation dwell among the fog-drenched mountains (Smokies).
  • Tohoniuk: country of the cougar folk in eastern Digadohi.
  • Tsatu Sokobi: a huge, powerful great plains country dwelled in by the nomadic Pihi nation (Comanche), who control the trade routes through it.
  • Tutskwa: among the deserts of northwestern Palhur (southwestern America), where the Suukya nation (Hopi) live.
  • Um'tgi: along north-central Palhuric coasts (north Atlantic coasts), the Mimajuinu nation (Miqmaq) lives and fishes.
  • Vesar: ancient empire of rattlesnake folk who worship the Truth, near to Shattered Plains.
  • Wiranumi: in the western part of the isthmus, along highlands and lowlands, the Unanan nation (Lenca) control a powerful trade route.
  • Xicp'ikaq: in southwestern Palhur, among the cold rain forests and coastlands, the Noksitl (Nootka) nation hunts whales and lives in the shadow of a volcano.
  • Xilis: a country of settlers from Ansulym and their indigenous Palhurian slaves, in west-central Palhur.
  • Xupuka: another powerful country in the great rainforest of the east, where the Guambiano people (Barbacoan) dwell.
  • Yoedzade: where the massive Yoedzade Federation (Iroquois) of the Onekwheshon (Mohawk), Kalutote (Oneida), S'gat (Cayuga), Hatokha (Seneca), Ranwe'ereh (Tuscarora), and Degneh (Onondaga) nations have united in culture, commerce, and military might, along the north-central woodlands (northeastern America).


Palhuric Ocean

The largest ocean, west of Palhur and east of Dabusen, Wymmera, and Ansulym.


Red Ocean

The ocean south of Ansulym and north of Wymmera. Named for its dark red color, which is due to the fact that it has blood and infernal energies in it.


Reever Sea

A sea amidst the Wyren Ocean, a major sea surrounded by islands with many within it. Connects to the Island Bridge near Mahad. West of Mahad, southwest of Jesenranu, northeast of Palhur. Inspired by the Caribbean.


Shadowdeep

The region of the Subterranean Realm between the Low Mines and Voidbarrens. It is where true shadow exists.


Stagnum Ignis

The lake of fire around the Inner Core. The outer core, the seventh layer of the Subterranean Realm.

  • Lake of Fire: the outer core. Molten rock and metal.
  • Scorpion Bridge: a tunnel of supernatural metal and stone and crystals, guarded by giant scorpions, that leads to the Inner Core.


Starfall

The Broken Continent. Once called Fasune, a crossroads of cultures, it was destroyed during the Wounding of the World on Second Shem. Home now to The Pit and various countries of outcasts, monsters, and strange things of fuligin.

  • Adderswamp: cold swamp between the Burning Wood and the mercenary countries to the south, aptly named.
  • Atran: a region of the broken continent ruled by a petty warlord and former mercenary, at constant war with Dekel.
  • Bellica: kingdom in southern Starfall ruled by a particularly cruel and belligerent lord.
  • Burning Wood: forest fire that has lasted Ages. Home to the Masked Champion.
  • Celeste Isle: island city protected by holy energies.
  • Dekel: one of two great warring states in southeastern Starfall, ruled by a powerful war mage.
  • Dwyrean Seas: seas north and eat of Lost Dwyre which hold many miracles.
  • Fuligin Field: massive desert of fuligin sands.
  • Fuligin Sea: sea east of the Fuligin Field, tainted with fuligin.
  • The Great Horns: wilderness in southern Starfall where untamed monsters dwell.
  • Harkanheim: kingdom of fuliginites in north-central Starfall who claim heritage to the legendary Harkan the Black.
  • Jared's Keep: fortress on the sea, north of the Great Horns, ruled by a powerful warlord.
  • Lagan Hane: neutral region between Atran and Dekel where mercenaries gather to be hired.
  • Lost Dwyre: pastoral region home to powerful lorecasters and lawcasters.
  • Muradan: country in southern Starfall where some semblance of peace has been made due to their control of trading routes.
  • Pandemonian Sea: a massive, chaotic sea in western Starfall, known for its maelstroms, violet waters, and shifting currents (Bermuda Triangle).
  • Pandemonium: a city of entropic energies in the Pandemonian Sea, on an impossible island, where reality is weak.
  • The Pit: the cast hole in the world where dead gods fall.
  • Sangar: southern Starfall region where the undead dwell.
  • Sea of Stars: sea in the center of Starfall that shimmers like the night sky.
  • Thellan Archipelago: archipelago in southwestern Starfall where pirates keep their secret bases.
  • Thellan Sea: the sea in the midst of the archipelago.
  • The Vestige: a sliver of an island where once a messiah was killed; his holy power permeates and remains there.


Taggarus

The massive continent east of Palhur, south of Mahad, west of Dabusen. Inspired by Africa.


Voidbarrens

The sixth layer of the Subterranean Realm, between Shadowdeep and Barathrum.


White Moon

The smallest moon, sometimes called the Ghost Moon. No atmosphere, inhospitable. Those that live there are beings of strange powers.


Wymmera

The large, rocky continent north of Dabusen and south of Ansulym where the Horde and dragons dwell.

  • Angumur: volcanic region where dragons and goemagot giants dwell amongst the flame and ash.
  • Baldunstel: high mountainous region home to the brannish folk.
  • Chandam: geliqurofi region in constant rebellion against the Horde.
  • Dalluk: island country in the north of Tsetskhlikrak, a massive supervolcano waiting to erupt.
  • Dalth: volcanic region of belligerent tepegoz ogres.
  • Demolde: forest in the Lower Lands, the easternmost region of the continent. Home to animal folk and geliqurofi.
  • Durgrak: formerly an independent country of many nations, it is now and long has been a colony for TheBaleful.
  • Great Iron Sea: massive sea east of Wymmera, sailed by many warring navies.
  • Guer: large region of the Lower Lands, forest and plains, home to animal folk and dragons.
  • Gulkarn: the region of the Horde Lands, a major colony known for its deep mines.
  • Haurkizadh: the massive, rocky, cold northern country ruled by minotaurs.
  • Hegga: region of mountains and a few volcanoes where there lies a secret valley of dinosaurs.
  • The Horde Lands: the massive region that makes up most of the continent, controlled by TheBaleful.
  • Ishalda: jagged volcanic region home to many powerful dragons.
  • Jamagh: one of the most difficult regions for the Horde to conquer, it is now entirely enslaved, a massive wasteland destroyed by their rage.
  • Lead Black Bay: named for its metallic content and color, a bay of poisonous water.
  • The Lower Lands: beneath the massive escarpment known as the Wall of the Horde, a region of less rocky and arid terrain.
  • Kaganus: island of the cyclopes in the northeast.
  • Kallurtebbaran: rocky, mountainous region on the coasts.
  • Kindael: lightning-blasted region south of Haurkizadh.
  • Kren'atan: home to the greatest of all dragons.
  • Mangartak: northern volcanic region home to refugees from TheBaleful, safe from conquest because of the dangerous volcanic eruptions happening all the time.
  • Muram: cold forest in the northern reaches of the Lower Lands. Home to yetis.
  • New Wath: volcanic area where Wathies built their new empire after coming to Shem.
  • Parthedus: home to various zoi nations, part of the Lower Lands.
  • Rodangasa: rocky, mountainous region ruled by giants.
  • Rus'ek: region of the Horde Lands near the volcanoes, where many animal folk dwell, mostly enslaved.
  • Sea of Wrath: bloodred sea off the coast of Tzuk.
  • Sharuld: forested region of the Lower Lands, home to many animal folk tribes.
  • Skaldakh: the broken wastelands in the heart of the Horde Lands.
  • Soke Malladus: islands home to many volcano-dwelling dragons.
  • Tamarnthek: ogrish homelands allied to the Horde.
  • Tortane: an island in northern Wymmera where time seems to flow backward.
  • Tsetskhlikrak: the volcanic region of Wymmera.
  • Tyrast: ogrish country that tried to rebel against the Horde and ended up enslaved.
  • Tzuk: the homelands of the Horde, massive rocky terrain stained with blood.
  • Ulcrysan: mountain region known for its diamond mines.
