Aldergast began during the Godless Times as a prison for heretics. It changed hands dozens of times, from Vesturia to Crystania to Maraddon to Idangar to Ottavia to Kerupen... over and over, until it came into the possession of Agikaan. There, the most heinous experiments, the most brutal slavery, the most unmerciful executions, the most horrific programs were carried out by the Agikaanis. So horrible was the work of the Agikaanis in Aldergast that after they were defeated, the prison camp was closed for good. Since then, undead and horrifying abominations have constantly been spotted in the area.
