Nelgarten Forests
A massive region in central Ansulym, home to a forest that spreads north to south, it is a conglomeration of infernal forests protected by ancient powers that have prevented them from dying out like the other forests of Ansulym, which succumbed to industrialization long ago.
Regions
- Dwonnic Woodland: coterminous with the country of Dwonnum, this region was once home to an elven nation that has long since died off. Now, it is a country where the living and undead dwell side by side.
- Forest of Bleeding Trees: a region of forest where the trees drip blood.
- Forest of the Kala: an icy, boreal forest that saps the emotions out of any who enter it. Many people who lost their will have frozen and died there, and their preserved remains decorate the forest.
- Forest of the Old Gods: a forest where a sleeping Eldritch twists the flora and fauna into horrors, drives travelers mad, and draws in those who seek the dangerous, ancient power. It is coterminous with Inall.
- Forest of Phantom Trees: a wooded country of illusions coterminous with Gemmis, a country that was genocided out of existence.
- Garden of Flesh: a cultivated region in the northwest where very rich people go to indulge in their hedonistic desires, often at the expense of slaves and servants there. It is coterminous with Jhuin.
- Gibberwood: a forest around the Forest of the Old Gods that serves as a warped barrier to the inner forest where the Eldritch sleeps.
- Hunter's Woodland: coterminous with Arunel, this region is a nightmarish hunting ground cultivated for terror.
- Lamb Wood: a northern region where the trees make bleating sounds (hence the name) and suicide cults control the area. Many suicides hang from the trees.
- The Salg: a region where the trees are a colonial organism that sucks the souls out of any who enter.
- Shrike Wood: a central region where menywod dwell amidst millions of shrikes. The world screams there.
- Thorn Wood: coterminous with Mwyr Aeld, this is the most developed region in terms of towns, cities, and other settlements, a powerful kingdom where the planhigon pigog dominate the vegetation.
- Phobian Wood: coterminous with Valdyrskogr, this region is home to vargr and other nightmarish creatures.
Countries
- Arunel: a country where mortals are hunted for sport - the national sport, in fact - and commoners live in terror of a cruel, terroristic ruling class.
- Dwonnum: a country where the undead and the living dwell side by side, once home to a long-dead elven nation.
- Gemmis: a ghost-region where once there was a powerful country. Aeldians genocided the entire region, and thus it was cursed and turned into a region of phantoms, illusions, and evil curses.
- Inall: a country ruled by a cult that served a sleeping Eldritch.
- Jhuin: a country of hedonism and pleasure at the expense of its slaves.
- Mwyr Aeld: a kingdom ruled by a powerful, parasitic ruling class.
- Valdyrskogr: a country dominated by nightmarish creatures and wolf folk.
Rivers
- Afon Fawr: a wide, slow river in Mwyr Aeld running southwest to the sea.
- Afon Stelcian: an emotion river that runs mostly through Mwyr Aeld and Arunel.
- The Kreeh: a river that flows through the Salg and nearby regions, often going underground for long stretches.
- Nelgart River: runs north from Mwyr Aeld's northern mountains, up through western Nelgarten, forming the eastern border of the Forest of the Old Gods and emptying into the seas.
- River Dwonnus: a river through eastern Nelgarten, especially Dwonnum, that is a mix of mist and water that hides many phantasms.
- River Malloriga: a small blood river through the Forest of Bleeding Trees, created by the trees themselves.

Druids
Druids of these forests are twisted, infernal versions of druids that do not preserve the forests, but warp them to their means.
- Blood Druid: in the Forest of Bleeding Trees, they are Siphoners who use blood rites to bond to the forest and draw upon its power, enslaving the trees and using their blood for powerful spells.
- Caomhnóir: in the Hunter's Woodland and Phobian Wood, they are sceimhlitheoiri who wield their powers to capture the horrors of these forests and dominate them.
- Derwydd: in the Thorn Wood, these dewin drain mimic the power of druids by cultivating the thorn plants there.
- Grey Druid: In the Dwonnic Woodland, they are necromancers who mimic druidic communion with the forest by allowing local phantasms to possess them, drawing upon the power of the dead trees and commanding them as undead plants.
- Kalan Druid: In the Forest of the Kala, they enslave the fauna and flora of the icy landscape, claiming to be boreal druids. However, they are truly whisperers who capture cold breath and use it to mimic icy magicks.
- Marholan: In the Gibberwood and Forest of the Old Gods, doomsayers mimic the powers of druids by drawing upon Eldritch energy to command these infernal forests.
- Salgian Druid: in the Salg, these "druids" are slaves to the colonial organism there.
- Singing Druid: in the Shrike Wood, these druids are truly cacosingers who use their powers to warp the landscape.
- White Shepherd: in the Lamb Wood, these ponomancers pose as shepherds of the trees, but use their powers of pain to control the creatures there.
Elementals
All forests, even infernal ones, have
viridianites that embody them. However, these have been warped by the infernal powers there:
- Dwonnic Woodland: an Aeonian undead greater elemental, a massive undead tree at the heart of the forest is its avatar.
- Forest of Bleeding Trees: the greater elemental here is an Aeonian dryad bonded to the most ancient bleeding tree there.
- Forest of the Kala: the greater elemental here is a frozen husk of a tree represents the emotionless, ruthless killer Aeonian green folk.
- Forest of the Old Gods: the sleeping Eldritch killed the elemental of this forest.
- Forest of Phantom Trees an Aeonian undead green folk is the greater elemental of this forest, a conglomeration of the genocided nation that once dwelled here.
- Garden of Flesh: an Aeonian dryad bonded to a beautiful flowering tree is the greater elemental of this forest.
- Gibberwood: the sleeping Eldritch also killed the elemental of this forest.
- Hunter's Woodland: the greater elemental here is a terrible plant that sprawls and ensnares people.
- Lamb Wood: a weeping willow is the form the greater elemental here takes.
- The Salg: the colonial organism is the greater elemental here. It is infected with the contagion.
- Shrike Wood: a massive bird-like plant represents the greater elemental here.
- Thorn Wood: a thorny monster represents the greater elemental here.
- Phobian Wood: a massive wolf-like plant represents the greater elemental here.
