The world is Wounded. It is a commonly held belief that the world is dying prematurely, and no one, not even the Gods, seems to know why. After the Age of Pillars, the Age of Mantles began. The Champions of Violet Mantle ruled briefly through a series of Epochs (Indigo Mantle, Violet Mantle, Amethyst Mantle, Agate Mantle), then came a dark period. The intended Age of Swords never came. Some blamed the failed Age of Vermilion Sword many millennia ago, others blamed the Epoch of the Brown Pillar's catastrophic tenure. Some claimed other sources were responsible. All anyone knew is that the Dark Age never ended--it simply evolved. War followed war, conquest followed conquest, until the world found itself in a new Age of Empires, but one darker and more painful than before. Then, came the Starfall:

It was no ordinary meteorite. When it struck in northern Fasune, the object shattered the world and its soul. Magical storms raged. Void storms swept across parts of the world. The crust of Shem buckled and split, reformed into different plates. The very face of the world shifted. A full year passed when nothing on the world existed. And then, life returned. Whole nations reappeared in new locations. Two new continents had formed, and the continent of Fasune was a largely barren wasteland.

Cassaru: Remains at the north pole and its surrounds, with the World Tree capping the world.

Fasune: A broken ruin of a continent, with the region of Starfall and its massive pit and black dust desert marring the face of the world. The nation of Harkanheim stands next to Starfall, a dangerous realm where monsters from the pit are captured and tamed.

Lyrilla: Connected to Jesenya, Lyrilla is part of the supercontinent that rose where the Ailanean continent was. It is home to the faeborn races.

Jesenya: Connected to Lyrilla, Jesenya is part of the supercontinent that rose where the Aileanean continent was. It is home to formerly Fasunic and Ranic nations.

Ranu: A larger continent that replaced the former so-called "center of the world." Ranu is now dominated by Vesturia and similar nations.

Ansulym: The dark continent is more ragged, larger, and darker. It is further north.

Palhur: The huge continent remains much the same, with a few nations rearranged or moved.

Mati: A continent that arose south of Ranu, this is where Tara'hin ended up, as well as a number of other so-called "golden nations."

Taggarus: The south central continent is a little closer to the equator. A few nations have been rearranged.

Dabusen: The southeastern continent is also a little closer to the equator, with a few new nations.

Island Bridge: The I.B. connects Ranu, Mati, Taggarus, Dabusen, and Palhur.

Gyrah: The floating continent appeared after Starfall and is now well known throughout the world.
