Backstory:
Nur’Alya’s Mother, from the Warrior Caste (the qad-ka'ar of the myn-ka'ar), shamed her class, so married below her and gave up on love. She grew bitter and twisted, retreating into her own faith in the Gods in the Sky. Her Father, from the Artisan Caste (the aal-ka'ar of the myn-ka'ar), didn’t want to die alone, so married Mother almost out of complacence. Being an Atheist, he disapproved of Nur’Alya’s mother’s beliefs.

Her mother was extremely abusive and beat the Gods into her. Her father was loving and kind, and tried to draw her out of the beliefs her mother was forcing her into. However, at 16, he realised his daughter was lost to these beliefs, and leaves when she’s 16.

At 16, Nur’Alya joined the warrior section of her mother’s cult. Her mother groomed her to become the leader of the warrior section of the cult, applying more and more pressure onto her. Combined with the abuse given to her in the past and her father leaving, she has an emotional breakdown, and her mother banishes her. This creates an emotional barrier between Nur’Alya and the rest of the world, restricting her from forming human relationships.
