Sizzerande was born to a family of circus performers. He was a tumbler, juggler, and announcer, mostly, but he worked every task he could. He grew up loving to perform, and he proved quite adept. His skill became so renowned that soon people flocked to see the multi-talented performer. At this time, though, he was growing bored. He began to try other tasks, such as swordplay, dancing, card games, fixing carts and other devices, and so on. He proved good at most of them.

When he got to his mid-twenties, he was bored with life in the circus, so he took some time off. He tried to settle, but moving around was still in him. He wandered. He met a man named Ghilim, who proved to be the finest juggler he ever met. Ghilim taught him new tricks and took him in as an apprentice. Soon, he was enthralled with his old crafts as well as some new. Eventually, Ghilim told him he had taught him as much as he could. Sizzerande bid adieu to his master and joined the Guild of Mercenaries, simply as a stopgap to pass the time.

After a few years of battle, he considered retiring to a new craft, when Ghilim came to him and told him he should take a job with the Renoir family...
