Knight of the Empire, wife of Damon, mother of Matrim, Yvenna is an important supplier of plants ot every noble in the Empire. Her mutant power allows her to cause any plant she wants to grow in her garden, making her incredibly popular & well connected.

Yvenna was driven mad by the Indestructible Kierik at a young age, & has focused her madness into a lust for power. She became exceptionally skilled at hiding her true self from everyone, & saw to it her son Matrim had a skewed perception of the world as he grew up, trying to make him utterly loyal to her (though this ultimately failed). She was adept at making poisons & sold them to assassins, both Imperial & otherwise, as well as being involved with several men outside her marriage, including the dukes Hyrase. She eventually became initiated into the Shadows of Death, the Black Cloaks, & quickly became their leader. This led to her being recruited by Belia Dyaster, her second-in-command, to a group called the Yellow Cloaks, whose power was spread all over with dozens of double agents.

Eventually, she helped feed Sir Asuncion, the Silver Paladin Captain of the Silver Cloaks, spidersilk flowers, which gave him spiderweb plague. When he turned to the Webweaver, he seduced Yvenna. The two had a hidden relationship for a long time. Just before the civil war broke out, he convinced her to take on a werewolf servant, Darum Gane, who helped kidnap Datuna & brougth her to Yvenna. Yvenna agreed to help use this to kill her son, Matrim, who had failed to be as useful as she hoped. When he was dead, she would give his soulsword to Asuncion.

The plan failed, however. Hranchak, first, failed to kill Matrim. Then, Matrim came to the estate & found her. In a desperate gamble, she threatened to kill Datuna. Viollca cast a spell to bring her hand away from Datuna's neck, & Matrim took the opportunity to stab his own mother in the neck.

The Argent sword was used to spill the blood of its wielder's own mother, & the blessing upon it that kept it out of enemy hands was broken. The Indestructibles' plans to get the sword were well on their way to completion.
