The Imperial Family: The ruling family

Originally, an archduke (or archduchess) rules an archduchy. The prince is the heir to the throne. The princesses are future heirs, by law; however, the status of their grandfather's being disowned has caused some confusion.

However, when Marilyna took the throne, the rank was still reserved for the ruling family, however, with it came great service. Members had to not just rule an archduchy but further serve the Empire in a large way.
