| Description | Greater bats appear to be anthropomorphic bats. They have webbed forelimbs that serve as wings, hideous visages, and dark furred bodies. They stand about 6' tall. |

| Special Powers | Greater bats have potent echolocation, bad vision, and long tongues. They are excellent hunters and foragers, and they are longer lived than most animalmen. They are very intimidating up close, and they tend to swarm in large groups that terrify people. Their claws are very large and sharp. Their coloration can make them very easily hidden when hanging upside down in dark caves. Greater bats are malicious tricksters. They have disease filled mouths and can see shades. They can cause misfortune in others, invoke decay into living flesh, and can once a decade after they turn 70, they can kill someone in their line of echolocation at will. Greater bats at the age of 100 can separate their souls from their bodies while remaining alive, though any that choose to do this will become undead when they do die. |
