Gaape are mad hunters, living in oil palms, hunting lost children. Their senses are extremely heightened, though their sight is weak. They have the ability to cause muscle entropy with a touch, & their clawed feet cause intense pain. Their shrieks, when heard as a group to a lost & frightened child, can cause madness. They stink of rotting flesh. They can use echolocation.

They live in complicated warrens on tropical islands, shrieking to each other. They swarm upon unsuspecting children & hunt for fresh flesh. They are mad, vicious beings that have no real society, acting as little more than animals, though they are truly quite intelligent. They are completely nocturnal.
