A Roma boy who often sought adventures with his brothers Bartleby & Walder, Caspian was a genius of a sort. He had a knack for simplifying complex situations & solving problems quickly with novel approaches. Often, this involved his mutant power--the mimicking of other people's abilities. As a youth, he learned a lot of legends about lost Gifts about the world. He also learned many stories of ancient heroes, legendary quests, & the honorable warriors of Tara'hin, Tenzanai, Dhun, & Galdun. He wished for nothing more than to be something like them.

And thus, when he met Elodia Silversong & fell in love, his impulsive vow became a true quest. He wandered the world, seeking a way to become silver-toned like her, permanently. He found it in the Silver Blood & returned to take her as wife. However, before a marriage could occur, the brothers split & a war started. Being a closer friend to Maraddon than Kavian, he chose to side with his friend, rather than his future father-in-law. Elodia was outraged & left him angrily.

He fought the war brilliantly, saving the Emperor's life a dozen times over. In the end, when Elodia agreed to remain in Maraddon's new Empire, he was hopeful, but she rejected him again. He resolved to focus his love & respect wholly for the Empire he was now a part of.

As per his race, Maraddon made him a knight & gave him lands, as well as one of the soulswords forged by Gellendrun. At this time, during the formation of the Empire, the newly made archdukes & archduchesses decided to give their favorite mutants landed titles of knight & baron, but granted them titles of duke & earl of the court, to give them more power. The tradition, however, stopped when Maraddon made the offer to Caspian, & he refused it.

He established his Silver Torches, originally to give his human brothers jobs that kept them close, but eventually to serve his Empire & protect his family. When Gellendrun killed him, his son took over, as his brother Walder left & his brother Bartleby refused to take title.
