| Description | Tikbalangs stand about 12' tall. They appear to be anthropomorphic horses with fangs & yellow eyes (not irises). Their feet are hoofed, and they have equine tails. Their fur patterns are usually red, orange, and black, with green or yellow mixed in. Their knees, when they sit or squat, rise above their heads and mask their faces. Their manes are made of sharp spikes. |

| Magic | One in a million have soul magic. One in a million have heart magic. Body magic is not uncommon, & mind magic is possible. Void is possible, & faith is not uncommon. |
| Special Powers | Tikbalangs are extremely strong. Their bodies were made to process the flesh of intelligent beings, & as such, they have strong constitutions. They are generally unaffected by the heat, & they have a fearsome countenance. They can glamour themselves to appear the same race as their victims, and they can vanish 4 times a day. Tikbalangs represent the chaos inherent in the elements, and as such, have some elemental powers: rain prediction, fire resistance, rock skin, and summoning breezes. They gain +1 to all base stats when it rains from a clear sky. |
| Weaknesses | Order magic or faith hurts them. If one wears one's shirt inside out, a tikbalang will assume one is a being of chaos. If one rides the back of a tikbalang while wearing a talisman made of the tikbalang's spines and tying a rope to the tikbalang, it will be tamed. They are hard of hearing. |
| Culture | Tikbalangs eat intelligent beings that they have lured off the beaten path into the deep jungles via trickery. In normal society, however, the rare tikbalang usually gives up this vice. Tikbalangs live in deep jungles, generally in small villages centered on one great tree. They tend to be wild, half-mad hunters and tricksters. A tikbalang is as likely to give permission for a traveler to pass as not, so it never hurts to ask. |
