Genderuwa's bodies shift constantly, erupting with new features a rate of about 1 per year. They can alter their size at will. They have an affinity for genn granc & the ability to vanish at will. Genderuwa can glamour to appear attractive and lure in mates of other races.

Genderuwa live dark, wet places. They hunt in small clans that fight each other as much as anyone else. To die peacefully is a shameful way to go in the minds of the genderuwa, and any fatal weakness will lead to a genderuwa being savagely ripped to pieces. They use their glamour abilities to lure in mates. They have a wide mischievous streak.

The gandruwo will go through the Rite of Transformation randomly between the ages of 6 and 13. The Rite consists of a period of madness in which they see and hear things that may or may not be true visions. They will maim themselves and others, screaming incoherently in madness for five to ten days, and at the end of it, they will devour part of their own bodies. Those that don't devour something essential will then mutate a replacement and begin their growth and feast period, growing into full genderuwa.
