PCs: The Coincidentals

Fragmented Histories goes back to fill the gap between the three Shems, explaining how we got here, through a time travel game.

Time has been fragmented somehow, leading to a discombobulation of different eras forming unsustainable time loops that are destroying reality.

Players would be characters selected by the watchers to fix time. Each character will have, for reasons explained in their backstories, a piece of littany metal in some form. The game will start in Chronur, where the players will find themselves to begin with, with access to any of the eight pieces of time.

Because of the Fragmentation, almost every watcher that has ever existed is now back in Chronur, even if they died - except the rogues, who were erased or who are still at large.

These are the fragments that are accessible:

1. The Death of Magic - the moment on Second Shem when it all went wrong
2. Betrayal in the Hells - the moment on First Shem (when the Webweaver killed the Bloodmother) when it all went wrong
3. Lovers Entwined - different love stories twisted together
4. Song and Screen - a song that cuts across Ages
5. Messianic Disjunction - three Messiahs' stories intertwined
6. Fallen Moments - the moment of The Fall and Starfall as one
7. The Cursed Families - powerful, legendary curses across time
8. Twilight of the World - beyond the era of civilizations, when the world is dying
9. Fragmentation in Chronur - all moments of time in one time

Each section is happening at once in a fragmented timeline that must be corrected, much like the Chronurian Archives game. However, the game can be played in almost random order, affecting things in different eras as things shape the history of all three Shems and rewrite them.

Each era accessible through the Fragmentation have a limited area where time is not too broken to be traversed.

The watchers in Chronur will mark the present as the "Age of Dawning", making their understanding of anything after that point in history based on information from two watchers who come from the distant future because of the Fragmentation: the Watcher Subsequent and the Prophet's Wife.
