The Court of Chains
The Conqueror
Victoris is the
God of
Furich Amol, the justification for their attempts to conquer the world. He and his twin brother,
Catena Factorem, seek to enslave all that exists, and for that, they need the
Corona Alba. They are known to invoke the power of
the Eldritch known as the Conquering Worm, as well as the powers of the Three-Headed Emperor. Their Court includes but is not limited to the following:
Eldritch
The main Eldritch influencing this court are
- The Conquering Worm: Zhu'rlogothil, the massive Eldritch annelid in deep space that sends smaller worms out to engage in wars of domination. These worms are fully the worm itself as well as a small part of it, and Victoris and Catena Factorem often use them in their work.
- The Trinity of Chains: three Eldritch who once ruled most of the universe, they were sealed into a single crown which was split into three. These three fragmented crowns are considered a small fraction of the Corona Alba itself, and Victoris and Catena Factorem seek them as part of their quest. The Trinity seeks them as well, as so they ally themselves, though they know in the distant future they will face one another. The Trinity are Niho-ranthac the Shogun, Menaphos the August, and Shausolli the Lord. Sometimes they appear, in visions, as either three crowned figures or a single figure with three heads.
Divines
The Divines in this court are all powerful oppressor lords who have united for one common purpose, dominated though by the twins:
- d
- Catena Factorem: the Chainmaker, the God of Empires, justification for slavery and domination. He is twin to Victoris and god of Urayme, the empire in Gyrah that is the heart of the world's slave trade. He is a smithing god, and the Uraymeans believe he gave them the skill and power to forge chains from the white metal known as schwerstrum. He is the embodiment of imperium.
- Hollow Jack: the Hollow God, a monster who exists as a bogeyman in Mal'sk, though he is actually the baal behind their religion. He embodies hollow energy, the essence of abusing the weak and vulnerable, and he likes to let Victoris and Catena Factorem act as fronts for his work in the quest for the White Crown as well.
- Idaina Ryōshu: the Great Lord, the God of Empires, justification for massive injustices and opportunism. He is the baal of Tenzanai and the onis that rule there. He allies with Victoris while looking for a time to take advantage of any weakness he senses. He is dishonorable to his core. He is the embodiment of fusei.
- Victoris: the Conqueror, the God of Empires, justification for colonization and imperialism. He is twin to Catena Factorem and god of Furich Amol, the empire in Ansulym that provides weaponry for conquestrs all over the world. He is a war god, and the Amolites believe he protects them in battle. He is the embodiment of corrogatio.
