Cloud Cities
- Anatolis: the City of the East, City of Dawn, a cloud city at the far eastern edge of the magic that keeps Gyrah afloat, a beautiful fey city.
- Arthies: the city of the magonians, the wind mages who capture the winds in their satchels. A small university city made with incredible magicks, it moves about the cloud seas and open skies.
- Cantilla: a city upheld by harmonious song, ruled by the elected Lower Chorus, it is a city of supernal magic and songbirds.
- Eneskos: the city-state of the turpivents, ruled by the cruel Queen Vulna
- Goallam: more a sprawling castle and town than a city, it is home to the giants of the sky who grow vast bean gardens that hold up their castles.
- Iridia: the City of Rainbows, an intersecting city of nine layers, each its own commune, ruled by the Assembly of the Thirteen (nine for each commune and four at-large representatives).
- Murothia: a famous university city proud of its independence but terrified of the powers around it, they attempt to keep to themselves.
- Notia: a city at the southernmost point of the magic that keeps the continent up, this city is a waystation and market city, a melting pot of thousands of peoples.
- Phyros: "the Merukis of the Skies", a libertarian metropolic home to pirates, bankers, and other kinds of thieves.
- Rajanath: a city around the Tower of Rajan, a massive spiraling tower of incredible magic.
- Reaad: the city of the lemniscates, mystical beings who study infinity; it rests above the continent.
- Wekoli: the City of Glimmer, a major industrial and commerical city where glimmer (light-made-solid) is constructed.
Countries
- Aeridan: mountainous country known as the Federation of Feathers, ruled by avian folk and the Avian Council, it is the very first country ever on the continent.
- Blake: a small country founded by landdwellers who came to Gyrah to escape the wars below, it is now a parliamentary democracy with no allegiances.
- Cinerea: an unaligned country, a minor bourgeois democracy desperately trying to remain neutral as tensions mount.
- Dalla: the Freehold of Dalla or the Republic of Dalla, it is a country that was once part of the Empire of Urayme until an slave uprising turned into a full revolution; now it is a beacon of freedom in the skies.
- Dorim: a cloud-country where whisps and sylphs come from, a vast swirling cloudy expanse ruled by the Council of the Winds.
- Dusilv: the home of the eximi, long-lived beings who watch the skies for incoming disasters from afar, sitting a bit above the rest of the continent.
- Ezara: a country where speculari who left Urayme have settled; a different nation of speculari dwell here and seek to not be associated with their imperial cousins.
- Fengara: the Fiefdoms of Fengara are a series of allied but autonomous draconic territories in a heavily mountainous terrain.
- Fulva: a country that was once torn apart by civil war, it is now in an uneasy peace. It is a small country with great political importance.
- Hesos: a semi-autonomous prison colony run by the White Crown Concordance.
- Hesperia: the furthest western point of the continent, the Reaches of Twilight, an elemental expanse ruled by a council of elders.
- Icter: a huge fairy queendom in the skies ruled by Queen Gloriana.
- Inverray: a small country where the hearth folk dwell, ruled by the Keeper of the Hearth and his clan.
- Katarac: a thin country on the edge of one of the major isles where waters spill over the edge to form clouds.
- Lazu: the other, smaller fairy queendom of the skies, ruled by Queen Corcrainie.
- Lefka: a massive imperial kingdom that was formed by the White Crown Concordance as a political stronghold after the rise of Dalla 30 years ago.
- Lesedi: the home of the crystal folk and the magical Lesedian Mirror, a higher island where all light flows.
- Maesenel: upper island where the lampiadas live, not far from Dusilv and Lesedi.
- Mavros: a socialist republic that entirely overthrew its former rulers, now ruled by the workers' assemblies of the Ebon Council.
- Myrian: the towering islands of the sky folk, six islands going up.
- Nead: the largest of the fairy queendoms, ruled by Queen Tanaquill.
- Oazar: an island country of psionists who do not have a hive-mind and do not wish to be part of Psyara.
- Prasina: the great green commune of thick forests and druidic councils.
- Psyara: the hive-mind country of psionists, the second-ever country on this continent.
- Rufosia: a strictly neutral country ruled by a parliamentary system and a prime minister, it is unaligned by law.
- Siellessorn: home of the siessorn centaurs (winged centaurs), it is a vast, windy grassland under a starry sky.
- Skyholt: a stronghold of sky pirates resting inside a storm.
- Urayme: the vast and powerful slaving empire Urayme is part of the White Crown Concordance.
- Vercora: the principality of the Storm Prince, home to storms.
- Yvinis: an independent military dictatorship ruled by an admiral.
