Aerography

The aerography of Gyrah is its skyscapes, islands, and other natural features and regions.

Regions

Archipelago:

• Outer Islands: far eastern archipelago.
• Plagosian Islands: northwestern archipelago.
• Psyaran Alveum: the cluster of islands of Psyara.
• The Whip: the southern archipelago.

Islands

These are the massive continental islands of the skies:

• Falconreach: the mountainous island of Aeridan, Fengara, and smaller countries.
• Maculaterra: a smaller continental island where Icter, Mavros, and Lefka are.
• Supradomus: the massive continental island where Urayme and Dalla are.

Land

Tundra

• Hyperborea: the frigid tundra wilderness of Falconreach.

Deserts

• Icterian Scour: a windswept desert of constant sandstorms and erosion.

Wetlands

• Fyllotelma: the forested swamps of Prasina.

Grasslands

• Fterougizo: the grasslands of the siesorn.

Forests

• Suprasylvania: the huge forested wilderness of Falconreach.

Mountains

• Domus Dei: a massive mountain in Urayme where it is said Catena Factorem came down and taught the original Uraymeans to make schwerstrum chains.
• Mons Chrysolitus: a major mountain in Fengara that is home to a beautiful multi-winged sky dragon.
• Mons Maximus: the tallest mountain in Gyrah at the heart of Aeridan.

Volcanoes

• Mons Rugiens: volcano in Rufosia that has been dormant for a thousand years.
• Mons Spuens: volcano in Mavros that is small but very active.

Cryovolcanoes

• Mons Falconis: cryovolcano in Falconreach where the dragon Sytherenezenn rules.
• Mons Ventis: cryovolcano in Myrian that has been dormant since before the island was populated.
• Monte Caeli: cryovolcano in Psyara that has been psionically altered to be part of their great complex. Active, but controlled.
• Monte Nubium: cryovolcano in Urayme where slaves are sacrificed sometimes. Active.
• Monte Summae: cryovolcano in northern Psyara, at the highest altitude of any cryovolcano. Dormant.

Caves

• The Furtive Way: a network of tunnels beneath Urayme and Dalla which are used by escaping slaves.
