Soaring Above

The sky continent of Gyrah has seen a population boom in the last few decades. Mining of the floating lands, cultivating the weather, technological advancements in airships, and new research into magic has made it more accessible and full of opportunities.

As the population expanded, so did the entertainments of the people of the above. The dangerous and exciting sport of skyracing has blossomed as those who want adventure, wealth, or fame have flocked to the continent among the clouds.

This has also seen an increase in tensions, however. The Uraymean Empire dominates the continent; as part of the White Crown Concordance, they are above all in military might and financial power. But the Freehold of Dalla, a breakoff republic of former slaves, and Psyara, the hive-mind country of psionists, have both successfully resisted Urayme's influence and power in recent years, and many of the smaller countries are turning to each other or other powers to keep from becoming colonies. It seems like every other day, there's someone else predicting war.

Players would be members of the same skyracing crew. They would collectively decide on their ship and help come up with the rest of the ship's crew besides their own PCs, who would all be major parts of the crew.
