While most people use the term "magic" to refer to any kind of supernatural or esoteric skill, it in fact refers specifically to the use of mana, a poioumenonic energy that allows for the influencing of other energies and the distortion of reality. There are several different ways to use it.

The Lore

As a poioumenonic power, magic is a wielding of The Lore. Use of ritual, sensitivities, and materials is usually involved.

The different kinds of magic users include but are not limited to

• Mage: one who uses rituals to wield magic
• Wizard: one who uses grimoires and spellcasting to wield magic
• Mage-Knight: one who uses enchanted weapons and armor to wield magic
• Magician: one who uses innate magic channeled through wands; very rare
• Thaumaturge: one who writes grimoires
• Spellweaver: one who creates rituals
• Enchanter: one who inscribes magical language on objects to enchant them
