Xera Salfrys

As a spearmint green folk, Xera is a plant-person with aspects related to the spearmint plant. Xe is from southern Ranu in the infotech era, where they studied chrononautics and theoretical physics. Xe was noted by the watchers for hir surprisingly effective research into time travel, making hir a dangerous figure. Hir experiments came awfully close to success far too many times, and this has made hir a target of the watchers' observations. However, because xe was so meticulous, it was clear xe did not cause the Fragmentation. Xe did, however, take advantage of it to achieve time travel for the first time.

Xera grew up in a garden community in the midst of a major city in southern Ranu. Xe took an interest in science at a time when science was making major advances across the board, so xe was able to get funding to research time travel at a major university. Xe became interested in time travel reading science fiction novels as a child. From a middle class family, xe's main struggles in life were hir fraught social life (a lot of high school drama on social media) and hir younger sister's teen pregnancy. Xe loves hir nibling, however, and regularly tells hir strange tales of speculative fiction. Xe has a girlfriend, another green folk, who is a grad student studying biomedical engineering.

Hir time machine is a saturnium gyrocopter, made with funding from hir university (though secretly funded by the military).
