The Jewel Kings are a group of eight royals who ended up in a specific fragment of time that is the following moments twisted together in time and space:

1. The Dinosaurian Run: The times when dinosaurs were proliferate across Third Shem are disrupted by the Fragmentation, and beasts of these times and parts of their home terrains have intertwined with other periods.
2. Sky to Sea: In the far future, Gyrah plunges into the seas because of time's Fragmentation.
3. The Red Fist: The Horde in Wymmera is sweeping across the continent for the first time.
4. The Impossible Revolution: In a time of workers' revolutions, the most improbable is looped into this coil of time. All revolutions before Harkanheim happened in colonized or underdeveloped countries. A revolution in an imperialist country was always called an impossibility until, of all places, the people of Harkanheim proved to the world it could be done. They did it without gods, without anything but themselves, and they did it against one of the most powerful ruling classes in the world. The most crucial of all revolutions, the one that started the sweep of the imperialist nations to follow, the Impossible Revolution is Fragmented by time and shifted in time, causing everything, the entire world, to be endangered.
