Thurman Monsapple bucked the family tradition and didn't take to business. He loved money, though, and he loved finding it. He became an adventurer of the purest kind, a studier of ancient relics and hoards. He wandered the world seeking them, and so amused his ancestor Barra that she had him appointed the official Seeker of the Diamond God... which he resented for the responsibilities it carried and bucked them to continue finding treasure. He has recently found some interesting artifacts in the hoards of dead dragons from the Age of Pillars indicating certain figures knew more about the Pit than they let on. He is now being swayed into helping with the finding of the nine children.
