Agnes "The Tenner" Ruithaelee was born without her left eye. No socket, no open holes. Just flesh there on her face. She took to wearing an eyepatch over it, but the fact remained, she was disfigured and people treated her poorly. They also underestimated her. One day, while carrying some bags for a rich woman, she heard a man selling soap and opportunity, and the rich woman stopped to listen. Hearing the deal, she scoffed and bought a few bars, thinking she'd outwit the man. The Tenner noticed the con right away, but her boss wouldn't listen. The conman did, though, and later in the day, he found her and talked her into quitting her job and joining him at bilking the likes of the rich woman.

About two hundred years later, Agnes realized she hadn't aged since that day. She'd become the right hand to Soapy gradually, but she'd not grown ill nor aged since that day. She confronted him, and he told her just that he knew what he was doing. After a month or so of thinking on it, she decided it didn't much matter. She's been his lieutenant ever since.
