Terence Littany

A middle aged man who finds himself the head of the company during a time of economic crisis, Terence took advantage of the suffering of others to buy up hundreds of other companies during the industrial revolution. He was goaded into a game of "who can buy the most?" by his rival Leonard Winchester, an industrialist capitalist. Terence is also a skilled industrialist and robber baron. Everett views him as a worthy heir and is happy to see him manage the company during such a significant time period. Terence is focused on his rivalry with Leonard and has no interest in his marriage to his unfaithful and neglected wife Katherine, with whom he has a son and a daughter. His children barely know him. Some believe his "friendly rivalry" with Leonard is a ruse to cover up an affair between the two men, but this is a slander spread by the Monsapple family to play on homophobic attitudes amongst the ruling classes to try to sabotage Terence. Terence ignores this and focuses on the company. He is obsessed privately with his own masculinity.
