Tenney once worked as a groom for a rich family before quitting in outrage at how badly they treated their horses. He was accused of stealing in an attempt to prevent him from telling others about the mistreatment of the horses. Jailed for a crime he didn't commit, he turned to the Grith for help and was connected to the Green Grith because of his love of animals. Since that day 35 years ago, he has worked hard at being one of the best animal-rescue, baiting-disturpting, general friend to beasts in the city.

He became the Radical of Beasts sixteen years ago when the previous one had to flee the city after killing a nobleman who beat a dog to death. Old Tybert visited Tenney two nights later, and Tenney knew he was the new Radical.

Old Tybert is the leader of all feral animals in Haenor. He can grant special boons to any animal friend, but he saves nine special boons for the Radical of Beasts: an extra eye (+6 vision), an extra leg (+3 agility), a length of tail (+3 balance), a bit of whisker (+3 perception), a patch of fur (+3 resistance to magic), a cracked tooth (+1 PRO), a soft paw (+1 STH), a quiet pur (+1 PRS), and a low growl (+3 intimidate).
