The animal folk of the Grey Moon.

Banded Water Snake Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic snakes with alternating blue bands and reflective bands. They live in the rilles of the moons in large communities, using their reflective skin to protect them from energies and magic. Their culture focuses on hunting and warcraft, for they are fiercely protective of their territories.

Sheep Folk: 5' tall anthropomorphic sheep with crescent-shaped horns. They gleam when the moon is in its crescent phase, allowing them to sense energies, see in the dark, and move with greater speed. They are herders and farmers, mostly, living on the lunar maria.

Sawfly Folk: 5' tall anthropomorphic sawflies with crescent markings on their bodies. They do not have stingers, but they are often confused for having one. They are dark blue and grey in color. They have white antennae. They can sense energies and have the ability to send freezing blasts with their mouths. They live in small communities in the promontoria, along the mountainsides, and protect one another.

Caridean Shrimp Folk: 3' tall anthropomorphic seed shrimp with translucent forms. They get dark in the center of their bodies, which are a whirl of night energy. They can become invisible at will. They live in the lunar rilles, deep in them, in small communities, and they only operate at night.

Night Monkey Folk: 4' tall anthropomorphic night monkeys who live on the farside of the Grey Moon. They only come out at night, when they gather food. Otherwise, they remain in the lunar dorsa, deep in the ridges, in warrens they form with hard work sculpting the rocks. They are excellent climbers.

Grey Eagle Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic eagles with grey feathers. They can fly through the light atmosphere of the Grey Moon and anywhere without atmosphere, but heavy atmospheres keep them grounded. They are sharp of eye and strong fighters. They are a warrior nation devoted to protecting the Grey Moon itself. They live in the mountains.

Grey Blister Beetle Folk: 5' tall anthropomorphic blue and grey beetles who rule the sublunar realms. They build complex cities underground, great temples to the moons, shaped of stone, metal, crystal, and ice. They are known for the vast structures, tunnels, and mines that they build, and they are hated by the colonials for their control of the subluna.

Lunar Wolf Folk: 6' tall blue and grey anthropomorphic wolves who are a major nation on the Grey Moon. They are considered the main animal folk nation here, leaders of the animals of the region, and one of the fiercest opponents of the colonials. They have an ancient worship of the moons in their culture.

Marginated Tortoise Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic tortoises with reflective shells. They are large, sturdy tortoise folk who live in craters, usually near the bottom, using their shells to redirect light to where they need it. Their shells also reflect magical energies. They are slower but strong.

Moonbear Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic black bears with white markings on their chests. They dwell in the mountains of the Grey Moon. They are protectors of an ancient spiritual practice that serves the spirit of the Grey Moon herself. They are known for being very thoughtful and serious, though among their own, they like to celebrate.

Chinchilla Folk: 4' tall anthropomorphic chinchillas with dark grey fur. They dwell on the lunar maria, dancing and bathing in the dust. They are quick and nimble, and their fur protects them from radiation and heat and cold. They are nomadic wanderers.

Tusked Weta Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic wetas. They are grey, blue, and black in color, and they can leap from moon to moon. They are nomads, seeking different environments where they might find resources.

Moon Rabbit Folk: 5' tall anthropomorphic rabbits with dark grey and blue fur. They are farmers who make plants grow even on barren moons by pounding their feet. They are known for their generosity and kindness, welcoming strangers into their homes. They live in small communities, mostly on the lunar maria.

Luna Moth Folk: 6' tall anthropomorphic moths whose blue and green wings gather and spread moon dust. They fly between worlds and moons, but they are from and always return to the Grey Moon. They are keepers of secrets and mysteries.

Teal Panther Folk: 7' tall anthropomorphic blue and green panthers (not jaguars or leopards, but a separate solid-hued great cat species) who dwell in the mountains of the Grey Moon. They are skilled hunters, but they prefer studying magic and witchcraft.

Sea Slug Folk: 4' tall anthropomorphic blue and green slugs who dwell in the lunar rilles. They live at the bottom of the trenches in small villages, where they work together on magical constructions, mostly towers and pits. They make everything out of stone.

Montane Skink Folk: 3' tall anthropomorphic skinks with three tails. Each tail tunes to different moons, shining when it is full and giving them different abilities. They live on the Grey Moon in the lunar maria and wetlands, guarding the lands they dwell in.

Tricow Folk: 10' tall anthropomorphic tricows, the three-headed cows whose milk creates the galaxy. They are a very strange species who live in many places throughout the galaxy, and their nations are varied and complicated. Those on the Grey Moon live in the lunar maria, herding the animals they resemble, and selling their milk to travelers. They wander by covered wagon.

Wolf Spider Folk: 5' tall anthropomorphic wolf spiders who dwell in lunar craters, waiting on prey, living as hunters and warriors. They are a nation known for their cunning, disliked by others, but ultimately friendly. They are hated by the colonials especially.
