Sthira Ksana

As a menywod, Sthira grew up in Ranu during the feudal era of Third Shem. She was raised to be deeply religious and to believe that women were subservient to men; she was raised to believe in Vrhovni Gospodar, the Supreme Master, a god known for strict rules. She became a dobra gospođo ("goodlady"), a kind of witchfinder who serves the church as a secret agent amongst women's circles in order to root out witches. She proved to be very, very good at it and gained much influence in the church, gaining great rank (equal to a bishop, but there is no title for a female of that rank - she simply remained a dobra gospođo).

Just before Fragmentation, she had infiltrated a cult of women seeking liberation from the harsh patriarchal powers they lived under who performed an aetherial ritual that invoked the Moons, time, and the seasons in a way that could theoretically have disrupted time itself if it were strong enough and disrupted. The watchers are unsure of the ritual's potency, as they had not paid close attention to this cult (it was newer and none within it had shown signs of power), so it is possible that Sthira's involvement caused the Fragmentation because of her cacophonic essence. History records nothing of this event.

Sthira is a zealot who hates women (and herself) and wants only the power of men (but not their gender). She is power-hungry and malicious.
