Special Weapon Damage

Slashing

Piercing

Pass-through wounds

Serrated, Sawing, or Jagged

For serrated, sawing, or jagged weaponry (including broad-based arrowheads, steak knives, comb-like blades, and of course, saws), insertion damage is same as piercing or slashing, but removal adds another set of wound damage that is one hit-level above the initial hit-level. In other words, if you get a normal hit with a saw-like blade, removing it (or just drawing it back as a saw) is a special hit. This starts at a tie (goes up to normal). A normal failure does not cut into the flesh and thus does not increase to a tie or cause additional damage. This increase is automatic - there is no roll for hit, as the weapon is already in the body. If the hit is intentionally not in the body or does not hit an area where an increased hit-level is possible, the damage either does not happen or does not increase (this is up to GM or player's discretion and/or agreement).
