The oldest woman in the tribe (other than Viollca), Simza was once a hunter of great skill. When she was twenty-seven, though, she fell down a gully and broke her back. Ever since, she has been bed-ridden, serving the tribe by doing any task she could from that position. She refuses Viollca's aid, as most of the tribe does, for their belief that her powers still derive from the dead.
