Shadowlands

Shadowlands are regions within the countries and areas of Ranu that have been cast into darkness, no sun rising there now. Some have been that way for over a decade, some for a few years, some a few months. As of the start of the campaign, these are the most notable and prominent:

Castle Blana

A Murjan castle owned by the Knez Sava Najstariji, this was the first region taken by shadow some 10 years and 12 days ago as of the start of the campaign. It is a 12-mile circle around the castle of imperial shadow that has let no sunlight or moonlight through since. It is said to be a cursed land where the undead are increasingly common.

Izbaleshana

The shadowy region of Kardis is an ancient place that has had longer nights that most, but has been in seemingly permanent shadow for 6 years, 4 months, and 8 days as of the start of the campaign. It is home to the Vartsargu, who believe it is a sign of a coming time of shadow all over the world in which the lies of empire and industry will be obliterated. It is in the inland region of Kardis and is a loose 22-mile circle.

Lolokalo

A dark part of Kherephuv created to maintain seven powerful secrets to protect the fairy queendom from outsiders, Lolokalo is a 7-mile diameter region created 7 years, 3 months, and 7 days ago as of the start of the campaign.

Posledniyboy

A small area of Vsemy where the rebellion began, it was cast into shadow 6 years, 9 months, and 13 days ago as of the start of the campaign. It is the return of a shadow once banished by the Vesturians thousands of years ago that birthed the Zatenneny people, a return of the darkest hour in which hope thrives. It is about 13 square miles in size, hovering over the main city where Vsemy is located.

Putermoale

A region of imperial shadow in Rendru brought by the Malaereans 3 months and 12 days ago as of the start of the campaign, it is the result of a ritual of power that they used to bind their colonial might onto the land that they have conquered. It is centered on the Malaerean palace in Vesela, about 5 miles in diameter.

Tamnikutak

An Ottavian region where the Kupci people now dwell, a place cursed when they allegedly violated Divine law a long time ago, the shadow only appeared 9 years, 3 months, and 18 days ago as of the start of the campaign. It is about 32 square miles in size. They believe it is a sign that their time is coming when they will free themselves of the curse. It is unaligned shadow, which their magical language can control.

The Veil is a fey shadow that none know the location of except the Nevysloveny, who live there. It is of unknown size, origin, location, or history.
