Chumas are women dressed all in white who hate dirty homes. If someone keeps a dirty home, they will infect that person with the plague. If someone is caught with a dirty home, they must clean it and make an offering of food, water, basil, and a comb to keep the plague away.

Morowa Dziewica

Morowa dziewicas are harbingers of plague. They come to a town before the disease does, waving red handkerchiefs through the doors of those they sense will catch it. They wear white and have a fiery wreath along their temples. They are very tall and often look sickly themselves. If someone is kind to them and offers them a ride between towns, they will be spared from the plague. If their handkerchiefs are stolen, the person who stole it and their whole family will die of the plague.

Likhoradka / Tryasavitsa

A spirit who can possess the body of a person and bring illness. They are an all-female-assigned species of spirit. They bring fever or specific diseases. They are tall women with disheveled hair, place faces, and white dresses. Their touch or kiss brings sickness.
