Infernal Spirit Folk
Fey beings and others based on infernal, imperial, or industrial stories and legends.
Gennus
Green-eyed fey who can see jealousy, envy, and obsession.
- Lifespan: 200 years
- Diet: Common fey fare and emotion
- Habitat: Forests
- Socioeconomic Status: Ruling class
Gennuses are 6’ tall fey with green eyes and spiky red hair. Their skin is palest white, and their hands are clawed.
Gennuses have the ability to sense emotions. They have magic charms that allow them to whisper to people that they can see, no matter how far away they are. If they can see them, they know what will make the person jealous, envious, or obsessive, and they whisper to them and incite these feelings, then draw magical power from them. They use this power to grow infernal gardens, cultivating poisons, thorns, and green burning flames.
Gennuses once were the same species as thornlings, long ago, but they diverged; now they are rival species living in the kingdom of Mwyr Aeld. Their culture is one of trying to one up the neighbors, of trying to always be better, to collect the most impressive art, food, houses, anything they can be better than others with. They are extremely skilled at politics.

Hada
Powerful fey who are known as conquerors.
- Lifespan: 300 years
- Diet: Meat-heavy fey fare or lifeforce
- Habitat: Anywhere
- Socioeconomic Status: Ruling class
Hada are 7’ tall fey with blond hair and pale skin. They have spiral irises that are many colored, and one in three of them have three legs (giving their legs a triskelion formation).
Hada have a dominant presence glamour, and they can drain lifeforce from anyone they defeat in combat. They can create spears out of their own blood if they have enough lifeforce stored up, but they can also convert the lifeforce into sustenance. However, they can eat meat and normal fey fare to survive without needing lifeforce.
All hada can see the souls of those they have killed.
Hada are one of the most powerful fair folk, along with the proud folk, who live among the imperials as one of the ruling class species. They are found in Furich Amol mostly, but they also live in other empires. They tend to prefer to be military leaders. Their art and music is very martial, and their beliefs are about their own supremacy. They believe the validus came to Shem to be their allies. They seek war while the validus seek conquest, making them “natural allies”.

Proud Folk
The fair folk.
- Lifespan : 150 years
- Diet: Common fey fare
- Habitat: Anywhere
- Socioeconomic Status: Ruling class
Proud folk appear to be beautiful no matter what they actually look like. Most are pale with blond or brown hair, pure pink eyes, fangs, and pointed ears. Their hands are clawed. Some confuse them with vampires, though they are not undead and don't drink blood.
Proud folk have a magical aura of beauty no matter what they look like.
They have the ability to mesmerize people with their voices, and they can vanish at will six times per day.
They can also can instill feelings of inferiority in others (sometimes permanently) with a PRS roll. Anyone they convince of this will lose WIL points for every hour they are in the presence of the proud folk. Anyone who loses 6 points or more becomes emotionally enslaved to the proud folk.
If they are embarrassed, shamed, or humiliated, they will lose their powers temporarily, which is how their slaves gain their WIL back and become free.
Proud folk are so-called because they will not allow inferiors to speak their name. They believe their species superior to all others, and they seek to prove it. Their nation is a ruling class nation in all eastern empires, and they tolerate other ruling class species in their pursuit to prove their superiority.
If a player chooses a proud folk character, they must be one who has given up their privilege.
