Eloko: pl. biloko. These spirits dwell in deep rain forests in the center of the southern continents. They protect the animals and fruits of the forests, dress in leaves, live in hollowed trees, have grass growing on their bodies (and no hair), piercing eyes, sharp claws, and snouts that open to swallow humans whole. They use bells to lure people to them or charm them.
