Shishiga: Shishiga (sometimes called leshenka) is a swamp, river, lake, or forest spirit similar to a goblin. They have white skin, tousled hair, and often wear no clothing. Many have hunched backs and large paunches. Their hands are often twisted. They are often found combing their hair, and if frightened or offended, they can inflict misfortune on people, which often leads to drowning in those in swamps or near rivers. They have a reputation for harassing people in their territories; they are also reputed to be burglars and thieves, though this may be stereotyping. They have a keen sense of smell and dislike the stench of alcohol, and thus they often are offended by people who have been drinking. If they come across a bar, they are often overcome with the need to cause trouble - they steal money, encourage lewdness, cut belts and suspenders, and so on. They have a habit of talking to themselves.
