Beastkin

Beastkin are animal folk who are born resembling their parents, but when they come of age, they have a vision of an animal that serves as their guide (moral, ethical, or otherwise) and determines their adult form. They tend to be more on the human side of appearance, with just a few animalistic features.

Angelsharkkin are 7' anthropomorphic sharks. The purpose of the angelshark is to bring redemption and salvation. Those who gain this guide are driven to help people who have fallen into imperial, infernal, or industrial ways to find redemption, especially the oppressed or exploited who have turned against other oppressed and exploited. They usually live near seas or oceans for practical purposes, but they do not need to. They tend to have flat, raylike skins and bodies in their more animalistic parts. They are often talented hunters.

Black storkkin are 6' anthropomorphic storks. The purpose of the black stork is family and mutual support. Those who gain this guide tend to feel compelled to support and help their own families, found or blood, and especially to protect children. Many end up being doulas, midwives, caretakers, or teachers, but some end up being more informal in their connection to supporting families, or more directly leading their own families while working other jobs. Wisentkin are 8' anthropomorphic wisents. The purpose of the wisent is patience. Those who gain this guide are often in roles that require that particular virtue, often dealing with difficult social or educational situations. They are not necessarily gentle giants; there's a danger to patience as well in some situations. They are often exploited by imperials for their size and virtue, but they focus their lives on their families, communities, and helping others.
