Mpikomies are 7’ tall, tusked hominids with orange and green skin, shaggy hair on their heads, small porcine eyes, and sharp claws.

Mpikomies become stronger when they act in defiance of oppression, abuse, tyranny, exploitation, or other imperial powers. They gain temporarily physical boosts when they do this, and if they do it enough, their insides turn to roiling, chaotic flame that gives them random supernal magic.

Mpikomies live in small communities that have been harangued by imperial power for so long their original culture is long forgotten. They are a warrior culture who favor their resistance above all else and long for days of peace, but know they must keep fighting. Their art and cuisine reflect the violence of their everyday lives as they live in resistance and defiance. They have intricate ceremonies to honor the dead, to honor those who have escaped enslavement, and to honor those who fight.
