[02:17:54] Nahuel: "Gambler, seek what you will in this Epoch in the land known as Jenil on Dabusen. In the Epoch of the Topaz Pillar, seek what you will in the Forests of Genesis, around the World Tree. And in the Epoch of the Ochre Pillar, the moon that looks like it is soaked in blood holds something you seek."

[02:19:14] Nahuel: "Sailor, in this Epoch, Haurkizadh, where minotaurs abide, holds someone you know. In the Epoch of the Bronze Pillar, seek out the same region (which is then allied with the draconic nations), for there something lies you seek. And in the Epoch of the Red Pillar, seek the Champion's Imperial territories on Dabusen."
  • Wayra Shokoba
[02:20:18] Nahuel: "Reever, seek you in the Epoch of the Aquamarine Pillar the navies of the Gamayaranese. In this Epoch, something you seek will be in the tiny free nation of Sinter, and the key to it is in the Epoch of the Aquamarine Pillar beneath the Great Southern Ocean, in the land of the finned gigans."

[02:21:30] Nahuel: "Laird, your bride is in the hands of the Prophetess of the Webweaver during the Epoch of the Bronze Pillar, but she is safe. She is waiting for you. Your seneschal is in the Epoch of the Aquamarine Pillar, with the navies of the Obusingyean peoples. And your mother is in the Epoch of the Flint Pillar, in the realm of Rodangasa, amongst the highland gigans."

[02:23:40] Nahuel: "Hunter, seek you something in the Great Forests in the northern parts of the Ranic continent in this Epoch. Go, too, to the realm called the Great Stone Wall in the Epoch of the Flint Pillar, and the navies of the Aeridane in the Epoch of the Aquamarine Pillar."

./.It's a table of thirteen, in a room shrouded by clouds. Everyone has one hand, at least, and the outcome is determined in a struggle of ideas as much as anything else. The Names can hurt you if you don't have one yourself. Killing is easier, but weaving is better./.

[03:13:41] * Obiefune picks the Flocksman's brain for what he knows about the Greatest sword.

[03:15:33] Nahuel: "It's a conundrum, isn't it? How to be better than a Sword than can imitate all other Swords /and/ a Sword that can destroy all other Swords?"

[03:15:56] Davan: The latter is easy - it won't be in pieces.

[03:16:47] Nahuel: The flight to Far is about 7 hours.

[03:16:55] Nahuel: Anyone else do stuff during that time?

[03:17:47] Obiefune: "It depends on the definition of better. All the Greatest Sword need to do is exist in order to best All Cleaver, and the Blades of Blades will only be able to imitate it. I believe the answer lies as much in the source of the Sword as in the result."

[03:18:08] Nahuel: The Flocksman says, "Sharper than a Gifted blade, more impressive than the Sword of Roses? There are Swords that evolve. How do you better a Sword that evolves?"

[03:19:03] * Davan captains.

[03:21:05] Obiefune: "I'm not entirely sure of the answer, but I think there is a clue in Sacrifice."

[03:21:38] Nahuel: He cocks his head, "Be careful with Sacrifice, sir. Some Sacrifices simply fail."

[04:15:45] Nahuel: "To answer you about what you don't know about the Final Sword, or Greatest as you call it, I require you tell me first what you do know as payment."

[04:17:07] * Obiefune begins to tell her what he knows, unless someone else breaks in. There are many legends, most conflicting. He repeats his theories about the Sword that he revealed to the Flocksman.

[04:18:19] Gerrick: does he repeat what the Prophetess told him?

[04:18:28] Obiefune: yes

[04:19:28] Nahuel: She, true to her title, listens. When you are done, she tells you three things: "The Final Sword was prophesied on First Shem, but no one knows who made the original prophecy. Some believe it came from the 7 Gifted Books of Prophecy, and is thus Paradoxical--for it is then born of a Gift, and thus the Gods. The Final Sword is also thought to be as much a symbol as a physical object. Some suspect it's a metaphor for a person. And, of course, t

[04:19:31] Nahuel: he Final Sword's existence defies Balance."

[05:23:02] Nahuel: "I have ascertained the powers of the Cross. Listen:"

[05:23:45] Nahuel: "It is a seven-pointed Cross. Touch a point to a part of an intersection, and it will be keyed to that tine, allowing you to return there by touching the tine. If you find a seven-pointed juncture, touch the Cross to where the intersect, and you can return to the intersection at will /and/ empower the Cross with attributes of that intersection. Use the Cross on metaphorical junctures and the effects are the same, but instead of sending you to

[05:23:48] Nahuel: locations, it will invoke aspects of the metaphorical juncture."

[05:24:41] Nahuel: "Find seven seven pointed junctures and you will Master the Gift, allowing you to travel the Seven Paths, which are different for each user."

[05:25:03] Isidore: "Wow."

[05:25:09] Nahuel: "But beware: if you try to absorb something as a seven pointed juncture that has more than seven junctures, you will skew the Cross and weaken it."

[05:25:19] * Davan frowns. "But then, it lets us go only where we have been."

[05:25:27] Nahuel: "This is especially true of metaphorical junctures."

[05:26:28] Nahuel: He considers, "That is wherein the metaphorical junctures lie."

[05:27:17] Davan: "Elaborate, please."

[05:28:50] Nahuel: "Any form of connection can be considered a juncture, with enough will and wit in the wielder. Sharing a quality is a connection. You can invoke the juncture of sharing a quality as one juncture and use it to travel with. However, this is also the dangerous area, for if you invoke the seven-point rule with it, you will weaken the Cross. Furthermore, if your will is not great enough, it will not work, unless you empower the Cross with other th

[05:28:51] Nahuel: ings first."

[05:29:19] * Davan nods. "Alright."

[05:29:27] Nahuel: "The attribute of being a timeless place, for instance, is a juncture, but not, beware, a seven-point one--there are more than seven timeless places."

[05:30:02] Davan: "But of being a place that connects to seven times?"

[05:30:15] Nahuel: "Furthermore, be wary of invoking strange connections. The set of all demons, for instance, is quite potent. Do not invoke it as a juncture."

[05:30:47] Nahuel: He pauses, "The set of things that connect to seven times has more than seven things in it, so invoking the set will not work. But a single member of the set is a seven point juncture."

[05:31:01] Davan: "Right."

[05:31:47] Isidore: "Can we remove connections or seven point junctures from the Cross?"

[05:32:44] Nahuel: He nods, "Yes. They can be traded out or simply removed."

[05:33:05] Nahuel: "Also, unless Mastered, all connections will be lost if the wielder allows another to use it."

[05:33:37] * Davan nods.

[05:33:42] Davan: "I will wield it."

[22:28:55] Nahuel: To Obie, “On the map, I shall for you mark the spot where in your dreams you might find the answer to a question. For you, it is the Okaguan territories in the Age of Flames, when the sun makes them unbearably hot.” Obie bows and thanks him.

[22:37:08] Nahuel: Tamballa nods. She looks to Obie, “Smith, my prayers to the Mother of Owls have guided me in this. You have been crippled by the Centipede, but not slain. The Mother has no answers here, but she does have a question: why? Why did he not slay you instead?”

[22:37:22] Nahuel: Obie frowns and nods, saying he will keep this in mind.

"Return for the stone"

You cannot undo what is done. What is to come is not sealed in stone, but it is nigh unstoppable. The deaths of billions is imminent. Doom arrives. The positions will change, and time will break again. No known path is quick enough, and the ones shrouded from us are fraught with perils. One more Age, and then the Pit comes. The side that is hidden will be revealed when the Thorn ascends, unless the Shadows are married. The quarreling children must all die.

[03:29:08] Nahuel: A field of what at first appeared to be snow, but turned out to be clouds.

[03:29:25] Nahuel: From far above, little clusters of light turn out to be cities.

[03:29:40] Nahuel: Around them, black clouds tower up, thundering and raining violently.

[03:30:23] Nahuel: In the midst of the worst of these is a castle. It's like seeing a placcid snow-covered vista, with forboding mountains crowned with a horrible castle, but with white clouds instead of snow, and black clouds intsead of mountains.

[03:30:42] Nahuel: And converging on the castle were 12 armies. Around the castle, another army sat.

[03:32:34] Nahuel: The twelve armies were represented by the following banners: a red sword on a red field; a green thorn on a green field; a centipede on a blue field; a white arrow on a white field; a broken chain on a grey field;

[03:33:38] Nahuel: a green ball on a black field; a grey shield on a white field; a locust on a rusted field;

[03:35:15] Nahuel: an hourglass on a golden brown field; a broken scale on a white field; a red spider on a black field; and a white swan on a white field all converging on a winged foot on a blue field (this last Davan knows to be the Walkerian Empire).

[03:36:17] * Davan frowns.

[03:36:50] Nahuel: The Swans were glowing white. The Spiders were shrouded in Shadow. The Broken Scales were a small force, but powerful. The Hourglasses were watchers. The Locusts were horrifying and unimaginable. The Shields were lead by a huge, shaggy woman with a Mantle of white. The Green Ball was a miasma of filth and disgust. The White Arrow brought a blizzard.

[03:37:18] Nahuel: The Broken Chain was walking on the clouds against the Winged Foot.

[03:37:35] Nahuel: The Centipede was a very mixed group, but all of them terrifying and powerful.

[03:37:53] Nahuel: The Thorn was also very mixed, and yet, he got the sense that there was potential there for alliance.

[03:39:14] Nahuel: And the Red Sword was a massive army. It included, amongst other things: Wolves, Flames, Tartans, Stone Creatures, Falcons, Birds, Legendary Figures, and Great Beasts.

[03:39:44] Nahuel: And he knew his role in it was to lead the Wolves, for he would be the lead scout, finding the path into the enemy castle.

[03:39:56] Nahuel: And that was the vision.

[03:41:15] Obiefune: "Stone Creatures? Legendary Figures?"

[03:42:21] Nahuel: "The stone creatures came in all shapes and sizes. The legendary figures... I saw the Queen of Cats, the King of All Dragons, the Keeper of Justice, the Silver Bard, the Heartsinger, the Vulpin Scout... ALl them old stories."
