He is the richest person in town. He hates the nobles with a passion matched only by his hatred of commoners. He has a reputation as a cruel master, making irrational demands of his servants, and a manipulative, controlling father to his four children, each of whom works at his bank and hopes to take over one day. People also claim he killed his wife, though he insists she is just off in the capital city, visiting her sick mother. His children never contradict this.
