Noam is a former lord who had to run to Starfall to evade being arrested for rape and slave-trading. He had previously been a supplier for the Champion of the Masked God, and he sought refuge with him. He was met with cold indifference, but he eventually found a place in the wilderness where he could serve as a scholar and adviser.
