Beliefs:
Gaule (Church of the Starfather, Asterian): The universe is vast and I am very small. My part in it is none-the-less significant because I am still part of the universe, and I know my place
exactly. Our world is but a small part of the universe, but it is none-the-less signficant because it is still part of the universe, and I know its place
exactly. The stars tell you where you are.
Terran (Church of the Starfather, Astrological): Much the same as above, but the stars tell you where you should be instead of where you are.
Afterlife:
Followers of these faiths believe that their metaphysical selves are tied to the primary plane of existence because they are a part of it. They believe that when they die, their souls become part of the metaphysical essence of the primary plane, thus joining the stars. They believe that Constellations are reflections of the souls of the millions who have died and forged the patterns in the Immensity of Space. That is, when one dies, they become part of the soul of the universe, which shapes the stars into patterns to guide the living.
