Kitap Grimoire

A shebvic collection by the wizard Ecevit Kitap who sought to make a collection for the waging of war. It is said to also be in Simon Island's vault.

Ecevit Kitap

Ecevit Kitap was a brannish wizard who served the lords of Jenil first, then Ladryan lords when Jenil was conquered, then later the lords of western Wymmera. He was born in Omaev, but his father was a sailor and so too was Ecevit for many years. He studied under a blue wizard who taught him magic, but he and the rest of the crew were captured and sold into slavery when he was 23. Later, he was liberated by a Guardian of Mortality and studied for a while to be one as well, but he ended up taking a passion for battle magic that led him to be recruited by imperial forces in the east. As first a wizard for the Jenilese Empire and later the Ladryan Empire, he amassed the world's finest collection of shebvic magic.

History

Because of his brief stint as a student of the Guardians of Mortality, Ecevit added a few mortal spells to his grimoire. Oddly, the sea magic he learned originally was long forgotten by the time he began his collection, probably due to the period of slavery he endured. The grimoire was written and collected over many years of service to empires, and for many centuries, the Ladryans and Jenilese both had copies of the tome. However, the Jenilese sold theirs to Simon Academy, and the Ladryans lost theirs to a fire.
