When the Prankster Goddess came to Shem, she looked far and wide for her first followers. She had much trouble finding any, however, because of her capricious nature, and soon she was distraught and lost, sad and alone. Disheartened, she retreated to the wilds of Palhur to hide for a while, and there, Hazad, the Skunk Manifest, heard her weeping. She went to the Prankster Goddess and asked her why she wept so. Upon hearing her story, Hazad considered, then told her that she would find her some followers. She went to the local tavern and snuck inside, then sprayed the tables with her musk. The stench drove the drunkards and staff out, and the Prankster Goddess heard them moaning and wailing over the odor. She snuck up and promised them she would protect them from the odor if they worshiped her. They immediately agreed.

So she turned them into skunks and took Hazad in for a bit of beer. From then on, the two were the best of friends.
