Ciprian Sris is the Emperor of Srisia, a cambion child of The Webweaver. Legendarily, he ruled for 5,000 years before being slain in battle with an angelic host. In the Fragmentation, Ciprian is at the height of his reign, about 3,000 years in, engaged in a conquest of Ansulym, Wymmera, and Dabusen, his empire stretching over a third of the world. However, the Tenzanai that he has invaded is not the one he should historically have invaded, but an advanced, liberated Tenzanese Empire ruled by a powerful, brilliant shogun named Tensai Senjutsu, a kinoko known for his tactical genius, from 1,200 years after Ciprian's death. Instead of facing the disunited Wymmeran nations, the ursian warlord Kahlu Hrokkand from 500 years before Ciprian was born has united hundreds of disparate nations to rise up against their Srisian occupiers. Meanwhile, the crocan mystic Uthphet from Azet from 2,000 years before Ciprian's birth is leading an army of escaped slaves not through the Island Bridge, as history dictates, but through western Wymmera during Ciprian's time. And finally, the titan Vrochoptosi who stole the titan emperor Acrosus's eyes 12,000 years before the time of the Fragment has escaped from his clutches into Ciprian's house, and she must escape back to her own time.

Players must sort through this temporal mess by helping Ciprian defeat the shogun and the ursian warlord in battle but keeping him from finding and killing Vrochoptosi or Uthphet, then send each of them back to their own times, and break the pendant Ciprian has acquried, called the soulserpent, which would protect him from the angels in the future.
