Ellanaria is an expert in oncology and end-of-life counseling. She became the Hand of the Silver Champion in the Age of Destruction. She was once a worker in a Bone Hospital, but in the post-Terror world, she became loyal to the Silver Mother. She sought to soothe those who died rather than torment them. On Second Shem, she began to seek a scientific cure for cancer, but her efforts kept getting defeated by the powers of the Plague Gods. Post-Starfall, she found horrifying evidence that fuligin dust was making people sick. She also found that her Champion was missing. Not being able to pursue both, she contacted the Lovells asking them to help.
