Description At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, dragons grow to be rocky, grey beasts with perfectly symmetrical, stocky reptilian bodies. Their scales are craggy stone.
Procreation Dragons mate with each other only. Without intense supernatural interference, half-dragons are an impossibility. Dragons lay one to three eggs at a time. Upon hatching, a dragon immediately begins absorbing background energies. All dragon eggs are filled with pure, liquid draconic energy, which sustains the baby dragon upon hatching.
Esoterica Conglomerate dragons have absorbed a vast amount of gebvel. Damaskian power and shebv heya are also common, as are fundamental, white tiger, and earthpower aether. Arnum, hegnh, void, complexity, kor, and ethereal energies are common, as is yahas and mana. Divine energies are common. Other powers vary.
Special Powers

Dragons gain new powers as they accumulate more energies. At each stage of growth, they gain a new ability, usually culminating with the twelfth ability when they accumulate . The usual progression of powers is as follows:

  • Level 1: Dividing beam breath weapon
  • Level 2: Immunity to concussive force
  • Level 3: Immunity to control
  • Level 4: Immunity to edged weapons
  • Level 5: Scale improves bearer's toughness
  • Level 6: Impassable barrier
  • Level 7: Create major door, once per year
  • Level 8: Instill strength
  • Level 9: Sense borders
  • Level 10: Take wounds for others
  • Level 11: Summon rubicons
  • Level 12: Rise to challenge

All dragons accumulate energies by absorbing them naturally from the area around them. As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects.

Other common powers include create minor door, block energies, separate body from mind/soul/heart, instill inertial resistance, and bloodbonding.

Alternate Forms Conglomerate dragons sometimes take the form of an ettin.
Weaknesses Violating their territory can break their mental health.
Subspecies Guardian dragons have absorbed so much gebvel that they hae become statues that exude powerful protective forces around their domains.
Culture

Conglomerate dragons live in border regions around the world, where they create small territories they guard and protect with their families. They lay eggs in small fortresses they create, and they all help raise the young.

When they reach maturity, they are given the choice between remaining and becoming part of every day life in the territory, or leaving to create their own. Most stay, but those that leave are called kren-muram. Those that leave find others who have left with which to build new homes.

Congolmerate dragons form alliances with both sides of whatever border they live on and help negotiate lasting peace, if they can. In times of war, they become neutral and protect themselves. From their alliances, they build their hoards.

When they grow old, they become elders in the territory and are much respected, until they die of natural causes or leave on a last mission.
