| Description | At birth, all dragons look like large, pink worms. At maturity, dragons grow to be greyish blue cream colored lizards with long dark fins along their spine and flowing multi-colored manes on their three heads. |

As such, they must carefully cultivate their lairs to provide the right kinds of energies, hence they hoard appropriate objects. | Subspecies | Atoll dragons are chalcedony dragons with more emotional resonance than usual. These dragons commune with the world's emotions and take the form of actual atolls, slowly becoming part of the world itself. |
| Culture | Chalcedony dragons lay their eggs in the tidal pools on atolls. The whole commune cares for and raises the young, which they train to fish and gather emotions at an early age. They also feed their own emotions to the young. Their communes are made up of interconnected dragons with complex emotional relationships that blend familial love, friendship, romantic love, civic respect, and community identity, usually. These bonds vary between individuals, and mating occurs when romantic love or lust outweighs other emotions between two or more dragons. They sometimes form monogamous bonds, but more often they are polyamorous. Chalcedony understand and respect emotions, including negative ones, which they know how to handle. If a dragon becomes a danger to the community, they exile them, but this is rare, as most emotional issues are sensed early and handled well. When a dragon is exiled, they usually become bitter and absorb darker emotions until they become another kind of dragon. Chalcedony dragons who take in too much of one kind of emotion become magnets for complemetnary powers and often change forms. When a chalcedony dragon grows old, they are cared for by the commune until they become one with emotion and fade away into the other dragons there. |
